Only reason to even watch but they'll probably be a comp on youtube.

Show looks like a lot of fun and for me the CGI looks great. I honestly don't see what this issue is in regards to how it looks, easily the best CGI characters created for a TV show. There is a slight issue with the animation though and I'm not sure why that is.

Hulk related stuff tends to be light hearted, so I think this will be a fun watch - at least when he’s around.

They miss all the time, they just don’t Last Jedi miss. Or Picard miss.
Yep, you have huge misses like Eternals and smaller misses in the TV shows and some of the movies. I think the overall universe is holding strong, but there has been failures.

i look forward to the inevitable articles on social media of unrealistic body standards for she hulk then thirst posts by same organisations for male super heroes.

While a load of others suddenly get boners from a strong green lady.

Bit like resident evil when it broke the internet with the vampire lady.

The cgi looks really poor. I missed being “wow” in phase 1/2.
I’m a huge Marvel fan and I have to agree. I feel like they’ve been getting lazy lately. Say what you want about Star Wars but the cgi is much better than marvel. In the movies and the shows. I watched doctor strange the other day and thought it looked good overall but so many little scenes look trash with cgi. Him doing up his tie with magic at the beginning is a good example. Just something so simple but it looked so jarring. Just make him put on a tie without magic if your not gonna put in the effort to make it look legit. Moon knight is another one. The costume looks horrible 90% of the time when it could be avoidable with just having a good costume.

Is that Tatiana Maslany? Ooh, she was amazing in Orphan Black acting multiple roles, at least inthe early seasons when it was watchable and the plot didn't detoriate from garbage writing.

I don't have a gripe with what I've seen on the trailer. Looks ok I guess. Might tune in. I'm a bit tired of these Marvel series, and the main plot structure does not seem to deviate much amongst them.

The extent to which Marvel uses CGI is baffling. Why does a guy standing around at a party have to be done with CGI?

Looks...okay? Not gonna sub to watch it though.

Seems like something I wouldn't go looking for but also wouldn't turn off if it was already on.

Yeah, it's getting a bit overboard with Marvel. A straightforward table conversation can be all blue screen too.

I had no idea they did this, but this totally explains why the latest batch of Marvel movies look/feel so.... flat, and fake.

Could it be because of Covid restrictions or something? So bizarre.

Yeh totally, That bar scene from Black Widow was another I had in mind. I get that these are films/shows that involve lots of things exploding, crazy tech and other things you'd want CGI for so it's understandable that it's used a lot. But they're using it for things that don't need it. Why does two people sitting in a bar have to be done with special effects? Even Tom Holland and Jon Favreau standing at a graveyard in the most recent Spider-Man used CGI. I'd heard the reason is because VFX artists are non-union and I'd also guess that it then allows the studio to make changes since the people directly making Marvel films get a lot less creative input than with other films.

As another example, even this gun is fake

the reason is that this way models and props don't need to be finalised and produced in pre-production, but taken care in post

it is more expensive most likely, but they have the money.

They haven't missed yet so I'll still tune in. Seems like it may not be my kind of thing though. Probably trying to reach a new audience.

I would give you one or two examples sure, but "all the time"? Yeah no.

Not in my opinion anyway.

^Libs of NeoGaf with a flippy flop

They don't miss to they do miss in a matter of hours. I think what you are missing is integrity. :)

This attitude is KILLING their quality though. I'm sure it is sub contracted out to some scrub effects house but having to waste time with CGI of a simple prop pistol takes away from making the major effects look better. No wonder their stuff is sub par at the high end. And they compound it by INSISTING on big CGI set pieces when a well choreographed human driven action scene would probably work better.

Something lighthearted like this should be ideal for Marvel, since they established a reputation for jokes in their movies. And I'm not acquainted with the actress but seems like she can be charming.

But somehow, none of the jokes in that trailer land. The characters and situations seem cringe. And yes, the CGI (especially the animation) looks off, despite denial from fanboys in this thread.

The whole thing just seems kind of forced and awkward. Pass.

How did she get powers? I’m confused. It looks kinda meh to me but so far most of the Disney plus ones have not really been for me and that’s ok.

I liked Loki but that is about it so far.

Are any of the Marvel shows actually good? Wandavision was hyped to hell and back when it was on, but I recently watched it for Dr Strange 2 and the show was one of the biggest wastes of time I've ever seen. I can't take the word of any MCU fans when it comes to the quality of the shows.

It’s how I’m starting to feel. Watch new series because it’s referenced in a lot of movies. As I keep saying it feels too much like homework. They should be escapism not required reading.

They’ve gone full George Lucas at this point. I’d say the shift started heavy around Civil War. The whole airport scene looked so bad at times. Especially Ironman with the mask off.

For me, WandaVision was the best of the Marvel TV shows by a good margin (even if it started faltering a bit towards the end).

And it seems like they won't be topping it anytime soon.

Only ones I like so far were wandavision and Loki. The rest were definitely not for me

At least they made her hot so I would glady let her destroy my pelvis.

LOL, you know, I thought My Super Ex Girlfriend was a meh film, but I did always love this exchange.

(Rainn and Luke are talking about the former’s night with the super heroine)

Rainn Wilson: So how was it?
Luke Wilson: She broke my bed.
Rainn: Whoa…….that’s good, right?
Luke: Definitely good.
Rainn: Nice.
