0.3%? That's only true if EVERY trans female complains about feminine looking women in games and ALL of them play video games. That's obviously not the case. The reality is that it's a minority within a minority within yet another minority that ruins gaming for everyone else.

I think dev teams (even the ones that have more extreme views on this) think that by making this changes they are not affecting "much" and they prove themselves by looking at the sales of the specific game were they made those changes. But my feeling is that (at least confirmed by my own behavior) is that the first time they do this, you give them a free pass, second time you can probably get annoyed but still buy, but the third time most people would just be done with it. I think many of this political forced-inclusions they have been doing will only see a real decline in sales by like the third iteration of any game.

I'm so glad that very few people are buying the 'poor SBI is just a scapegoat for all the hateful gamers', 'gamers don't understand game development', 'gamers are this label or that label', etc. The majority are just normal people who have had enough, particularly in view of the toxic behavior of SBI, their supporters, and certain gaming media sites. I'd say gaming journalism went 6ft under largely in part of GG, or at least GG was the culmination of years of built-up distrust towards it. It exposed the shady business that went on behind the scenes and that these "journalists" were as good as gossip bloggers.
Now they're, deservingly, pretty much a dying medium and being replaced by better alternatives, the few good ones hanging on with actual worthwhile content.
And once again, this new "GG" is just the culmination of years of built-up frustration with the quality of big modern games. I'd say DEI is just a part of the equation, a symptom of poor decision-making, out-of-touch CEOs running the business and bloated budgets.

You don't need to fire everybody though. You simply need to start at the top. Once the heads are replaced they can start to manage everyone below them. When ideas come up that they no longer want they simply tell the people no. If they can't get the job done then you fire them and hire someone else who can. Sure you'll have some people who wont want to change but I'm sure you'll have plenty who just want to do a good job and keep working and maintaining their lifestyle. They'll be satisfied with bitching in the background.
