Microsoft don't develop games nor does Sony they either create, buy,or pay a studio to make video games for their platform

Sony’s Worldwide studios and and Microsoft studio do develop games lol??
Or they pay a non 1st party studio to make an IP owned by Sony or Microsoft?
What are you on about?

MS went and bought a publisher that already had a ton of established IP like Doom and Fallout.

I cant remember when Nintendo or Playstation has done a moneyhat like that lol

None of that really matters. Sony bought some studios, they make games for Sony. MS bought some too. Just that the Bethesda purchase is fresh in everyone's mind.

Sony hasn't made shit, their bought studios make their games. They've just had good success in getting good results from their acquisitions.

None of it matters but there not the same thing lol.

When has Playstation or Nintendo bought a publisher and owned a bunch of IP’s they had nothing to do with building?

Playstation world wide studios is owned by Sony. They own and paid for those games to be made by there studios lol.
What are you on about?
They didnt go out and buy a bunch of already successful and popular IP

MS = biggest moneyhat of them all

Given the current state, it might be a situation where Sony decided to stump up some up front costs and traded exclusivity (either timed or full).

I don't know what the world was on, but I actually liked Bioshock Infinite.

New Bio Open world could feel like a AAA Shooter with We are Few vibes. If they lean on your story affected by your decisions then "Inifnite" decisions are better played out in an open world quest-lines rather than linear like before. It just makes it again an ambitious project, and it better be.

I don't like timed exclusives as a general thing (unless the company swoops in to save a project that wasn't getting made otherwise, obviously), but I'm all-in for the E3 drama this year.

HeisenbergFX4 HeisenbergFX4 is this one of the bleeding xbox tactics you've previously heard of? No need to answer though ;)

If I am being honest I am mainly a huge hardware guy so since the consoles have launched I haven’t bugged my birdie friend near as much about the games.

And since I have never played a single minute of this franchise I haven’t heard anything about this game.

But now that State of Play for Horizon is done Sony can focus on another franchise to talk about quite soon that I am super hyped about and BOY!!! that Info can’t come soon enough for me.

My prediction is we hear (and see) the first real footage within 2 weeks to coincide with E3

Some expecting that the early show of Horizon FW was to clear out the less impressive footage to avoid it being underwhelming compared to what they'll show! From you excitement, I can smell that! Thank you for your exciting input!

I'm predicting end of June, gives Ratchet time to breathe.

Would be weird. I've always associated Bioshock with Xbox. Definitely gonna get it either way, Bioshock 1 is still one of the GOATs.

Games have graphics, yes.

These games are garbage imho. Hope Sony isn't wasting money on them. Surely there are better ways to blow millions?

What the fuck are people on about that Sony only buys studios to make their games? Japan Studio, Polyphony Digital, London Studio, Pixelopus, San Diego Studio, and Santa Monica Studio were all built from the ground up by Sony. That's literally half of their developers right now.

I'd say there's a difference between buying studios to be involved in development and publishing their games vs throwing cash at random titles to keep them off another platform for 6 months.
Justify it anyway you want but the end result is the same. Previous multiplayer franchises are shutoff from one side or the other.

There's a reason Xenogears was Sony exclusive, Xenosaga was Sony exclusive with a Japan only DS remake, and now Xenoblade is Nintendo exclusive.

I've been a multiplatform owner for a few gens now and I despise timed exclusives. Having to buy a console to get certain full exclusives for that generation is one thing, but it's a pain in the arse to arbitrarily lock people out of buying something for X amount of months.

It's irritating because the series X version is highly likely to be the superior one. I'd rather it was PS5 full exclusive and just be upfront about it.

Its about time we see something of Bioshock 4 too. Infinite was 2013 and they did take a break and start up a new studio. As others have said the first one was timed exclusive to Xbox so I dont see why they wouldn't do the same here

Yeah what I meant was Sony or NIntendo hasnt gone and bought Square and owned all there IP.

They might have got 3rd party studios to make exclusives for them or make an IP for them, but not bought out a entire publisher and all there IP’s they had nothing to do with before

Didnt know Xenogears and Xenosaga were Sony IP.
Wasn’t Xenogears Squaresoft and Xenosage and XenoBlade Namco?

It's complicated but they aren't Sony IPs, just Sony exclusives. All made by Monolith which was sold to Nintendo.

If there ever was a Xenogears or Xenosaga remake it would probably be Nintendo exclusive.

Id love a Xenogears remake. But not in the style of Xenoblade gameplay or voice acting lol

Lies about why mods reply ban and warn me.
Not much interested. Bioshock had cool art direction and story, but one hella meh boring gameplay.

Bioshock series had some high points, but as a "spiritual successor" to System Shock it was fair to middlin at best.
PREY was much better.

Starfield vs Bioshock?

I am lucky enough to own both PS5 and XSX so this doesnt affect me, but the reasons to own both are very compelling if you dont already

Yes as far as the systems in place are concerned the other two were better but Bioshock told a better story overall.
