I'm nearly 40 years old and I got braces this week. This shit is really inconvenient. It's hard to eat and you have to brush every time after. I'll probably drop some weight so I guess that will be an unexpected benefit.

Braces gave me headaches, toothaches and recurring dreams (to this day) of my teeth falling out, and when I finally got them off it felt like my teeth were covered in slime because of how rough they felt for prior two years.
I do still get told I have a really nice smile and teeth, though.

i always had nice teeth and a straight nose, until i kissed a step when i was about 19... i still look good but a few of my teeth have chipped a bit over the years... you wouldn't notice at first glance... it's not enough to justify any kind of reconstruction but it sucks... don't run in flip flops

I'll be honest with you. My girl does what many Japanese people do to brush her teeth - a touthpaste'ess brush scrubbing in their mouth for like 15 minutes. They start doing it in primary school.. I ache to tell her mum that her teeth aren't sub-optimal because of childhood kissing, it's because she never taught her daughter how to brush her teeth lol...
i've finally got through to bae on this front though, got her an electric toothbrush that pulses every time she should change quadrant, and ends after about 2 minutes... she seems to be reassured by the legitimacy of this new persuasion

I'm hoping all this build up is given a worthy pay-off, but with Chibnall helming the writing I am not confident we'll get anything good.
I'm sad for Jodie because given a better writer she could've been great, but the material she's had to work with has been shite.
Well, if rumours are to be believed, Chibnall had help from RTD with writing the last episodes and the specials next year. With any luck, Thirteen will get the send off she deserves.

... and almost everyone I know, regardless of their salaries, use IPTV etc to stream movies, sport and everything in between, for free (Or a very small yearly subscription, we're talking like £30/$50).
They don't care about quality when its free/cheap and a shitty bitrate 1080p/4k stream with buffering is fine cos they ain't paying.

The problem is, convenience becomes less when you have to skip between apps/providers all the time to find something to watch and then the added cost of multiple providers... it'd be easier & quicker to put a disc in than scroll through several apps. Its almost gone backwards on the convenience front and in the process, lost the image & audio quality.

Reminds me of when satellite dishes became popular, plenty of dodgy ones on the market. Now you can just get a Kodi-box (Pretty much illegal, people have been prosecuted for selling them).
But yup you just flick channels and can't pay attention, all the channels and as soon as you're bored skip around.

Watched the last season of GOT on streaming sites rather than torrent at the end, had to have several windows open as one would drop signal and the other window would be ahead or behind. You couldn't get HBO here at the time I think was region blocked. I think? Don't remember and all for the better.
Then 'True detective' took up the mantle. And later that shitty show about porn, never watched the last season as it was so predictably bad.
