What if he was Bruce Wayne and therefore knew his own secret identity?

I haven't been up on the Bats/Supes adventures of late. The correct answer would be Superman would be fucking useless to everyone except his optometrist.

Only because if it's been a shitty year for movies, with what trash like Quantum of Solace, amirite Solo?

Thank you for the bashing, jett.

Anyways, it HAS been a shitty year for movies for my personal tastes. I was actually pondering it the other day, and 2008 has been the worst year of the decade for film in my eyes.

What about 2000? I remember 2000 being shitty for everything entertainment not named "Dreamcast"

Two questions:

1. For the blu ray during the pencil scene the Joker says "it's gooooone!" but I swore during the theatrical release he says "it's magical?"

2. Did the Joker really have a plan or was he "like a dog chasing cars"? Cause it seems like he had at least a plan outline somewhere in that crazy purple suit of his.

He definetely had major plans. The scene with Harvey in the hospital where he spews on about chaos and anarchy was 100% bullshit, said simply to drive Dent to the place Joker wanted him to go. Every single action we see from the Joker is totally calculated and planned. Hes basically a criminal mastermind in the movie.

Still can't get over how awesome this movie is. The end where they talk about the hero Gotham needs and deserves particularly strikes me as memorable.

Can't wait to see what they do in the next film. The Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman, or Mr. Freeze would all be cool villains to see, just sucks we will never have another awesome Joker like in TDK. In a way I think it's good the Joker as we know him in this movie won't be back. Ledgers first and final appearance as the Joker was surely his best, and will always be remembered as such.

I really hope he gets an Oscar =/

1) He says "it's gone" in all versions.

2) The Joker does have plans, but what makes him like a dog chasing cars is that he doesn't have an endgame. He knows what he wants, and he knows how to achieve that, but if he was ever to totally succeed in bringing Gotham into total anarchy, he wouldn't know what to do with himself.

will totally Facebook friend you! *giggle* *LOL*
Joker never has plans so much as he has many MANY back up plans. One plans fails (kill Harvey) another begins (kidnap harvey, get the mob money).

Yea, I think I can agree with this, at least so far. But I guess there's still a few films that I could definitely love slated for the rest of the year.

Yeah, thats how I see it. Outside of 5-10 good-to-great movies, this year has been a waste. I guess the writers strike is the most likely place to channel the blame.

Besides, how can QoS be the biggest letdown when we live in a world that had Indy IV playing in theatres this summer?

Since we're getting off-topic, did you ever see RocknRolla, Solo? I know you wanted to see it, as did I, but it was out of theaters pretty damn quick.

I never did, Juice. It came out at a REALLY crazy time for me (switching jobs + moving across the country), and by the time I was finally settled here, it was gone from theatres.

Definite blind buy on Bluray though.

This. I still haven't seen a few of the "must see" films. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Wrestler both top my list right now in films I want to see.

People thought Indy IV was gonna be good?

I did enjoy QoS, but compared to how good Casino Royale was, it was a huge let down. I'm still thinking about getting it on blu-ray. I mean, it's not like Die Hard 4 where I'm willing to have an incomplete collection to save an inch of space on my shelf and keep peace of mind.

And yeahk, back on topic: It would have been lame if they stuck with the original idea of Batman's cape folding into a backpack when riding the Badpod.

Don't have very high hopes for RocknRolla. While its traditional Guy Ritchie, it's much less funnier than snatch or lock stock.

Mild spoiler ahead:

Replace the diamond in snatch with a painting, and statham with butler. Minus the genuine funny for forced laughs

I also swore he said, "It's magical." in the theatrical release. In fact, I can't recall the scene, but I could've sworn it was different in the theatrical release.

what's the last couple of lines Gordon says at the end? It's so good.

"Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...a dark knight

Yeah, no. Not in the States. I saw it five times. He says "TADA! It's...ah, it's gone...:)"
