Punk is everyone past 35 playing competitive shooters against some 15 year old dew and doritos shitlord.

...this one hits a bit too close man.

A bit too close ;_;

Punk just doesn't have the athletic ability to be a professional athlete.. He could train for 10 years and still not make it as a fighter.

He could one day have BJJ black belt level knowledge and know how to box, but there will always be hundreds of guys who can execute everything faster, harder, and more precise than him (even without as much training and experience) due to being superior athletes.

Journalist: "You had this smile on your face while walking to the Octagon. What was going through your mind?"

CM Punk: "I was happy. I felt like I was back where I belonged. I was ready to fight."

The truth is he was afraid for his life, and trying to put on a face as he walked to his destruction.

DC's fight against a fairly has-been Silva left some people questioning if he could take Jones

DC had a bad weight cut and all the drama and stress of Jones dropping out to deal with.

All things being considered, he dominated Silva, and I'm fairly certain he went easy on the man out of respect for the fact he stepped in on short notice and because he idolises him as a fighter.

Silva is still, arguably, the greatest striker in UFC history so you can't blame him for playing it safe.

lmao that punch, who is coaching him?

Wish it stayed on the feet longer just for the laughs.
Pettis' coach Duke Roufus. He was well known in the kickboxing world back in the dark days.

In Punk's defense, you can see him bailing on the punch as soon as he looked down at Gall's takedown.

He's an idiot for not doing amateur bouts first, but he has my respect for having the balls to step in that cage and get rekt in front of so many people.

Joe has like 10 years of bjj exp in gi and no gi + all that taekwondo stuff too, if Joe doesn't have a fucked up back or anything like that, itll be wayyyy worse than that

I didn't see that post but rogan would obliterate punk harder than gall did

rogan's smart enough to make his money without getting punched for a living but he could have been a pretty good fighter if he ever went down that path, he's nobody to fuck with

What? Why? DC was going very easy on Silva out of respect and the awkward situation of beating up on an old legend who took the fight on a day's notice.

You are aware Joe is an incredibly high level TKD fighter and a legit BJJ Black Belt correct?

Mickey's biggest strength is grappling and Joe could tap the fuck out of him, if he was in his prime. He's older now though and doesn't train as hard as he used to so now days Gall would probably beat him up.

But a prime Joe? I mean he could have been a legitimate UFC caliber fighter zero question

Joe has never competed or tapped anyone in comp

Gall has been in there with guys like Gordan Ryan

Yeah I don't think some people realize Joe could destroy Mickey Gall as long as he's healthy

Rogan is pushing 50 and isn't some experienced veteran pro fighter. I don't doubt he could win because he's been training so long but I think it's a little over the top to just say he would go out and destroy anyone on the UFC roster who isn't CM punk.

Joe Rogan is an in Gi Black Belt under Jean Jacques Machado and a no Gi Black Belt under Eddie Bravo and you think he can't tap a Brown Belt?

I am becoming actually amazed at what people think about Mickey Gall. Like its shocking.

Yes current Joe at 50 couldn't likely fight and defeat Mickey Gall. He also doesn't train like he used to and is not a young man.

But a Prime Joe could beat him. And honestly right now he could more than likely tap Gall in a strictly BJJ match

People see Rogan as the News Radio/Fear Factor/comedian guy who is an announcer for Mixed Martial Arts and forget that he's an announcer for fighting for a reason.
The motherfucker was showing GSFuckingP of all people how to do a proper sidekick.
