So basically UBI Soft have become incompetent.
They Used PS5 as the main development platform and decided to give Xbox owners a half ass port job.
Ridiculous.
I'll wait until they get the XSX version to where it should be before I buy which is running better than the PS5 version.
Absolutely no reason a game on PS5 runs better than XSX.
This reminds me of when AC Unity ran better on XB1 than PS4 when PS4 was the clearly the superior hardware.
There is no reason for the console with the Faster GPU, Faster CPU and more bandwidth to ever run worse than the one that is slower.

It definitely doesnt look as next gen on 60fps XSX now. Quite dissapointed tbh I almost think I preferred the screen tearing lol! A bit of a mess this, its either Ubi dont know the tech very well or these consoles cant do a great deal more than their predecessors, either way this game does not fill me with confidence

I've played a few PS5 games with the headset audio and honestly it's not that much different than Atmos and I think the soundstage on Atmos sounds better and bigger. "Tempest Audio" is starting to come off like "Blast Processing".

That makes sense but reality is always different than what paper specifications say. Heck nobody knows at this point how usable the power is in each of these systems. All I've seen is that the two are almost identical when it comes to multiplats and that's not on paper.

So there isn't a single category where the XSX wins definitely and handily.

I don't see a difference 60vs30... but the torch one does look slightly lower resolution... will be interesting for a DF comparison.

XSX also offloads tasks from the CPU and has a more powerful GPU which is equated with having a faster GPU not the actual speed of the GPU as you suggest
Things are very black and white between these consoles as they both have very similar HW.

This game never looked next-gen tbh. It's a cross gen game.
In my humble opinion both are great designs. Basically they are using different ways to get a similar performance.

While I understand where you are coming from, having to have authority in something to discuss or even argue it's merits isn't very logical.
That's why these forums exist.
Then i´t s more logical discuss about something without know nothing about it.
For example, imagine we are talking about the Sars Cov 2 and which is the better vaccine. Do you think that we can talk about it without know nothing about vaccines?
To talk about something with a minimum of authoritatively we have to know about that matter, right?
From playing today I would say it looks worse and tearing is the same.

Framerate is dropping more according several people. I just bought the game yesterday so I don’t see those drops yet

Arguments from authority are a logical fallacy to begin with. Sure knowing something about the subject matter is helpful, but you can't expect everyone who has an opinion about a car to have designed a car or even worked on a car in any capactiy. Maybe they've owned one and had a bad experience with it. You need to be a bit reasonable here. We aren't talking about vaccines, we are talking about an entertainment console.
So basically, lets shut this thread down because I strongly doubt anyone has ever worked on a console?
