Actually DarkMage called about three or four users liars in that thread. Despite video evidence proving everyone's claims, a claim he couldn't cope with. So in response repeated his cycle of behaviour, four times.
His antagonistic behaviour has what's caused this sorry state. His behaviour should be looked into.

They can say all they want about the repetitive puzzles and "awful" combat. it's still one of the most memorable and touching gaming experiences I have ever had.

Have to agree. The acting was a stand out for me, loved every moment of it.
It was certainly flawed, but these things typically gets refined in the sequel.

Only person who was doing the attacking was DarkMage, the other people involved wanted to know why they were liars when had been providing lots of proof for each claim.
But agree, this isn't the place right now. Will stick a pin in it and hope his antagonistic behaviour can be looked into.

There are 3 modes.
Dynamic resolution 120fps mode
4k60 mode.
4k30 with RT.
RT very demanding feature. Game generates lots of shadows in environment. So it can affect frame rate in certain areas. So keeping it lock 30 is way to go.

Yet I don't see you posting about the lies the xbox series X and Ps5 have made? in many games there are compromises in frame rate and resolution on those two machines despite the advertising of 4k, 8k, and 120fps.

I'm a bit jealous. I wish I can experience it again afresh. Was really memorable the first time around, the acting and performances in particular were stand outs.
Sounds like the game has just got better.

So what's the opinion of the graphics upgrade? I'm more impressed with the material details than the Raytracing if I'm honest. The Senua model has incredible detail (did anyway but now more so). Raytracing is very impressive in certain scenes but less so in others, a mixed bag for me.
Just playing the game again it's very much a slow burner, that really draws you in the more you play. I feel a lot of the negative comments are from people not giving the game enough playtime IMO. Makes me wonder how NT will approach the sequel, will they go more action to appeal to a broader audience?

Exactly saying something is "designed" to do something is not the same as a guarantee that it will be delivered every single time. All marketing is to give best case scenario.
I've quoted the interview with Jason Ronald several times were he states that developers will have several different tools at their disposal and they basically can decide themselves what they want to do for their project.

I'm not sacrificing 60 fps for RT. Console RT has yet to impress me at 60 fps (Sony 30 fps RT looks nice), the consoles simply aren't strong enough. Maybe once the Pro versions drop...
No. But the way materials interact with light is noticeably improved in places + textures are better

Speaking of RT implementations, it was interesting to play with it in Doom Eternal. I had a hard time picking between higher resolution and the RT. For me, at least in that game, RT just looked more "real" or natural, regardless of resolution. But I did miss the sharpness of the non-rt mode, so I actually ended up playing it about 70% in RT mode and 30% in high res.
I wonder how it works out here in terms of the trade off (or compromise if you prefer).

I don't think they feel like they need to go down that avenue. They don't seem to be in a rush to do anything, which is something I actually love, sounds like they have total creative freedom on this.

Uhm what? I have a PS5 and a beast PC. I bought the SS because I had a gift card of 500 and was stupid. All the BC games were shit (since it ran the One S version) and enhanced games were meh, ai expected 1440p and 60fps but hell nah.
I'm still interested in an Xbox for gamepass but the SS didn't do it for me, will buy SX eventually.

Jason Ronald helped designed the hardware. He promised the XSS would have the same feature set as the XSX. It does. Do you know how game development works? Do you think the hardware engineers can guarantee how every software developer will use the hardware? You are smarter than this despite what your post suggests.
