This guy is currently 2 levels off getting the first character in the world to level 100 in hardcore, it's absolutely crazy how fast this has been achieved

Watch Blizzard nerf every class for the third time in a row and seeing him getting killed

Very true.

My druid looks like he's dressed to a children's costume party without those Store $30 Armor Sets
Jesus Christ. You're not going to let that go anytime soon are you? Despite your protest you still bought the game.

After the first weekend I played a lot more than I usually do (level 36) and I'd say I got my moneys worth already for what I paid. The game is much better than D3 and fuck that having to do everything 4x to max level. This world seems polished, not as repetitive (but still some) , expansive, and better designed for playing for a hundred hours. And I will say the story is well done for a video game.

Great job Blizzard. It is rare to see such game potential these days. They probably spent a fortune on this game in development.

This game's world is designed to be looked at and not really played in. So much hemming and hawing, segmentation and narrow areas. And the mount accentuates the issue. It's really annoying and unfun to navigate and explore. I wish they'd not gone for this "cinematic experience" that makes sense during the 10 hour campaign (which I have separate issues with) and not the presumed 100+ hours after.

Since this runs well on the deck I think I might just grab it when the normal tier unlocks in a few hours. Currently under the weather and being able to play this in bed will be perfect.

Finished the campaign yesterday and did a bit of post game grinding. Had a ton of fun until the credits rolled but post game just isn't doing it for me. It did coincide with the heavy nerfs but it could also be that now that it's just grinding I'm really noticing the Barb's slow and clunky feel. I dunno but gonna start trying alts because neither HotA or WW felt fun to grind with and respecs are a little costly.

Is it true that i should complete the campaign before hitting level 50 (so without doing sidequest etc.) because you get almost zero exp for the remaining of the campaign?

That's some bullshit if true.

I ended up getting this game on the PS5 so a friend and I can go for the Platinum trophy. So far the game has been great, no issues at all. Enjoying it quite a bit when I have time to play.

What's your definition of costly? I'm in the low 50s and a full respec costs me 107k. I do a mix of salvage and selling and I have over 2 million gold.
Exactly that. I also have over 1m gold so its not like I couldn't do it several more times. But swapping to something, not really liking it and swapping back doubles the cost. Plus changing aspects to fit the build and make it work better add to the cost. Don't really see the point in continuing to waste a non insignificant amount of resources trying to find something I enjoy grinding with. It's not expensive doing a single respec or small tinkering but it quickly adds up if you're doing it a lot.

It falls in line with what was said pre launch so it's not a surprise.

Anyone else playing this game on PC primarily with mouse alone? I use keyboard for dodge and heal, but everything else is mapped to my Razer mouse:

Yeah but if you're not having as much fun as you could, the gold cost is 100% worth it. You'll always find more gold.

Really? I'm having a blast playing in this game's world myself. The game being awesome to look at makes it even better. You talk about this "cinematic experience". Is that because the production values are high?

Yeah, I got it on sale for $80. Not cheap, but it is like it is made for Diablo.

Where i am it's $200.

I could buy one from US Amazon for $100 but they could tax it and i would have to pay $100 anyway.

Will think about it when my mouse dies, seems like a great choice to play on PC.

Back to reality after a weekend of nothing but Diablo 4, level 51, hitting 50 just before the grand finale.

Pretty amazing biome diversity across the game with every campaign mission pretty much a new distinct setting and epic boss fights.

Just got a small taste of the end game activities, beat the world boss and to be honest I think I might go for the other 50.

I love my Barbarian bleed build. frenzy/rend/deathblow with buffed earthquake leap, damage shout and all kinds of shields and fortify. And call of the ancients NUKE.

Got a legendary just before the end that allows duble mastery charge for a double deathblow BONK if one is not enough for its cooldown reset at tier 8, so cool. Can't wait to see what kind of gear I can still find that can take it further and I'm 100% hooked.

I guess I'll just make a prep for restarting as Rogue, getting all gungeon aspects I want to expand on my build from betas and this will be my main time sink this summer.

Been playing with KB/M for 55 levels and now I'm trying to transition to controller...

One thing I noticed is your mount speed is A LOT slower on controller when using your boosts. On PC atleast, with KB/M you can chain your speed bursts and be zooming around the screen incredibly fast. This is just not possible on controller (PC version atleast, like I said). Even if you move your mouse cursor to the edge of screen (distance your cursor is from your character affects mount speed), and then grab a controller it does not give you that same speed.

How is the Druid mostly as a werewolf build? Underpowered? That's really the only style I would want to run and role-play as a bad guy. I know the necromancer is an option but I've done that a thousand times in other games.

Can't say about werewolf but I'm really not enjoying pulverize at 48. I feel like trying another build or just start over with a different class. I've unlocked t3 but it's too gear dependant and I can't do shit in t3 so I'm stuck in t2 grinding shitty XP and gear

For just leveling Im loving it. Im pretty much full werewolf/poison except I have trample (its insane) and i use the werebear howl for healing/debuff instead of bloodhowl.

So Im running:

- Claw
- Shred
- Debilitating Roar
- Rabies
- Trample
- Lacerate

Then I take any side skill that buffs poison cause most werewolf abilities apply it and also crit chance/damage

Its a ton of fun and powerful for leveling, but granted Im only level 40 with it so no clue how good it actually is for end game. But Im having no issue leveling with it, you can clear big packs pretty quick. You do need to be cognizant of dodging big hits its a little bit squishy but you could probably test swapping debilitating roar with bloodhowl if its an issue.

Charge in with Trample then start going nuts shredding everything and applying poison. Use debilitating roar as soon as i start taking damage and then trample whenever its up into any mobs that are by terrain for the bonus impact.

You feel like wild animal going nuts its pretty fun haha.

Yeah ive tried a few pulverize builds, one actually made me able to do the cathedral for T3. It was pretty close to what I got while leveling minus a few utilities. I think Im just really unlucky as far as drops. I dont think ive upgraded anything from 40 to 48 besides my weapon. All I'm getting is shitty rares

I had this for a couple of years but recently got rid because it felt like I was getting carpal from playing so much COD. I have now gone with a logitech G203 for now.

This is the most fun I've had in a Diablo game ever. I'm having a ton of fun playing as a frost sorcerer. I'm sure it's not the meta build or strongest, etc etc, but that's never been my focus and I'm simply having fun. I'm level 48, nearing end of act 3 and it seems to hold up well but I'm sure I'll hit a wall here at some point.
