Righteous. FM3 music is sooo good, and this sounds like it's going to meet the high expectations.

Speaking of music, does anyone else turn the music off during the actual racing? It just seems distracting to me, and I prefer to hear the roar of the engines and tires and such.

I always turn music off during races. Can't concentrate with it on.

Yeah I noticed the music in that GS video back during E3. Sounds great !
I think I have more than 200h in the FM3 menus alone and probably 75% of that must be in the career listening to the music while looking at car porn. So good ! :p

Is the new BMW autovista or just the home/screen saver? You see the door open, so it would seem like there is more detail. But I remember Dan saying he wanted unique cars for autovista. Also, the upgraded Nurburgring GP looks nice, but is it me or did they add trees where trees are absent in the real track? And where trees are supposed to be, there is a lack of.

The F10 M5 is an Autovista car, it was confirmed with the LCE announcement.
Also the FM3 version of the Nürburgring GP is outdated, very much like Suzuka will be unfortunately.

The E60 wont win in the design category, but that S85 V10 is god-tier.

I'm actually not looking forward to the F10. Yes, its more powerful, but the engine sounds disappointing :/

In some ways, I compare it to the Pagani Huayra. Once turbos were brought in, it just doesnt sound as good as their predecessors (imo :p).

I hope the E28/E34/E39 M5's are in the game, or the very least, the E39. Then give me the option to swap the S65 motor from an E92 or even better, the S85 and I'll be the happiest gearhead on the planet :D

Same here. It always gets in the way of engine purrs, roars and tire squeal, which I hope to be able to crank up top 11 in Forza 4 and have it be a worthwhile experience.

That's all Forza has ever needed to me - to crank it up to 11. Driving at top speeds should feel and sound exhilarating.

I mentioned this as well on the last page. When it was announced that Pagani was retiring the epic M120 for the biturbo V12, I knew it would kill the sound.

The Zonda was among the best sounding supercars, rivalled only by a straight-piped Carrera GT or F50, but the Huayra sounds positively asthmatic in comparison.

I'll never forget that one time in Paris a few years ago, probably around midnight. I was walking on the Boulevard Haussmann when I suddenly saw a yellow Carrera GT. It was parked and a guy (probably the owner) was on the phone not far from it. Of course, I inspected it as any car fan would have done and left, continuing down the boulevard. A couple of minute later I hear probably one of the greatest engine sound I've ever heard IRL. The guy was doing an acceleration on the boulevard and the buildings were amplifying the symphony. It was magnificent !
Needless to say that I had a huge grin of my face during those few seconds ! :)

So, just had a look on my local (Australian) EB website and the limited edition is $128. Not sure whether to bite or not... EB ain't exactly the cheapest.

I have a pre-order on the LE but I don't know if I will keep it, I can either pay £60 day 1 or pay £35 and then probably £15 in allards to buy the vip and car packs 6 months later, so it's not really too different.

Still for the price there should have been something better then 3 car packs, the topgear car book is cool but no key ring or anything, dlc to me never carries much value.

The TG book would have been awesome if they actually featured cars that are NOT from Auto Vista. I mean, why would I want to read pretty much the same stuff that's going to be voiced over by Clarkson in game anyway?

it's the same cars ?
well, at least that tells us...uhm...96 pages book, i would assume every car gets at least 2 pages, so that makes 48 autovista cars.

Well at least you can pre-order the LCE. I've checked every major french website, none of them have the LCE and only two carry the normal edition at the moment... :-/

One thing that I'm afraid of is that I don't know if we'll get Jezza in the french version.
Especially since I saw Automoto (french poor man's Top Gear) logos on the Alpine track, I don't want one guy from that show ruining Autovista.
Considering that they'll probably be short on dvd space, I would be pissed if I had to miss on his Autovista commentaries when buying the LCE.

The M275 sounds so meh. The Huayra doesnt sound much different from the AMG 65 Series. Even when the Huayra did a fly by, you almost dont hear anything. The car drove around the track quiet like a Veyron ;_;

Funny thing about the video you linked, there was a Zonda R there. Too bad they didnt video that so it can show the Huayra how a Pagani should sound like :p

Yeah, i thought of that.
I really hope it didn't cross their minds to change the voice for localized versions. Subtitles only, please, i don't want to miss Clarkson.

The Carrera GT does sound badass. Never heard one straight-piped. Had to be awesome.

There's something about the sound of a cammed out V8 that twists my knickers as well. That resonant, slow loping sound is just music to my ears. I also have a thing for the evil hornet sound that most Ferrari's make when you really twist the gauge on them. It's a beautiful thing I tell ya'.

Something they need to fix in FM4 was the bgm always played in the same order every time you boot up the game.

I like the songs, but its just annoying hearing it in the same order every time.

am I stupid, was there a shuffle option? :x
