By that time you’ll be able to buy Gotham knights for €20I give it at least 2 months post release for them to add a 60 FPS mode via patches.
You trying to operate a PC:Well PC version require you to spend 6 hours fiddling with the setting to get 60fps so its not exactly the same.
Is that true? Why is that?30 fps generally looks terrible on OLED TVs
What console/pc do you have that make you play 98% of games at 4k120 ultra + rtx??Yeah the $1600 is worth the 2% of games that actually need it.
Are you stuck in 1997?Well PC version require you to spend 6 hours fiddling with the setting to get 60fps so its not exactly the same.
Plauge tales on two weeks and then God of warI seriously was about to pre-order today, but I was searching if this has a performance mode, couldnt find anything, usually devs advertise this, so thanks OP. Any other good games coming out soon?
Times change, no one wants to play a game today at 480p or even 720p for example. Console generations set new standards and this generation the new standard is 60fps. Yes, 60fps has been around forever, but it's good to set a minimum, just as you don't want to play a 360/PS3 game in SD resolution.whatever I am not interested in the game myself but this thread is just pathetic.
You all behave like if high frame rate was invented yesterday and shocked you.
I’ve been playing games for 25 years in high fps and you will get to the point when fps will matter less and not more. For me it was around 2008 when I got a 360 to accompany pc.
You just play and don’t care. Game is what matters. With least distractions.
Of course it’s not like that anymore. We got badly implemented modes but they are there. You can do 60 in any game mostly. But 30 is fine. Don’t think you can’t get used to it
Wait plague tale 2 will be 30 fps? No performance mode? Damn it. Will have to play it on pc than.Plague Tale 2 will also be 30fps, at least on the PS5. It didn't take long for big games to start abandoning 60fps on current gen consoles.
Say a game looks literally photoreal, gorgeous, but targets 1080p 30 Hz on PS5 and the devs simply can't figure out a 60 Hz mode. Fine. The number of games that will have the budget, talent, and time necessary to achieve that level of fidelity is practically zero. Theres like 5 developers in the world I can think of who could even possibly make a game like that. A PS4 can run TLOU2. But how many other PS4 games look like that? Maybe 3 or 4. Modern hardware's upper bounds of potential fidelity is out of reach for most games nowadays. As we see with this game, few will have interest in being forced to play a game at 30 Hz on PS5 again if that game is not at least in the discussion for best looking games ever made.I'm just being realistic. There's a lot more that can be done with 33ms over 16ms when it comes to visuals specifically
This game might not be a good example of it but there will be others. A lot of devs will choose graphics over frames this gen. This one looks like it could be patched to 60FPS though
Have you seen the graphical fidelity of that game compared to this turd?Plague Tale 2 will also be 30fps, at least on the PS5. It didn't take long for big games to start abandoning 60fps on current gen consoles.
I've heard rumors that a performance may be added in a patch, but people who are playing the game for the review don't have any graphics modes and the game runs in 30fps.Wait plague tale 2 will be 30 fps? No performance mode? Damn it. Will have to play it on pc than.
About what happened with Watchdogs Legion. One of the rare cross-gen games released with only a 30fps + RT mode on PS5 / XSX, like what were they thinking? They eventually added an excellent 60fps mode but the game bombed anyways.By the time they patch in the 60 fps no RT mode this game will be $20
Reminder that Rocksteady hasn’t shipped a game in 8 years
This is pretty unfortunate for a premiere next gen showcase game. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come for ‘next gen’ only games
I disagree bro. Gorgeous realistic graphics are getting easier to implement even for some indie devs. UE5 and some of these engines being reworked for this gen will produce some mind blowing stuffSay a game looks literally photoreal, gorgeous, but targets 1080p 30 Hz on PS5 and the devs simply can't figure out a 60 Hz mode. Most PS5 games will simply look good enough and offer a 60 mode. Its a 1440p 60 Hz console for the most part.
One of the devs on discord regarding 60fps. Highly detailed open world apparently....
You'll be disappointed.I disagree bro. Gorgeous realistic graphics are getting easier to implement even for some indie devs. UE5 and some of these engines being reworked for this gen will produce some mind blowing stuff
but one of the PS videos on the PS channel was 60 fps. So it was all a lie?I've heard rumors that a performance may be added in a patch, but people who are playing the game for the review don't have any graphics modes and the game runs in 30fps.
Yes, but PT2 is still too demanding in my opinion. I mean c'mon, they expect you to have a 3070 on PC to run it in max setttings and 60fps... in 1080p resolution.Have you seen the graphical fidelity of that game compared to this turd?
It’s an unoptimised dumpster fire of a game, whataboutisms be damned.
Who knows, maybe they're still optimizing the 60fps mode. But the fact is that people playing this pre-launch have only 30fps.but one of the PS videos on the PS channel was 60 fps. So it was all a lie?
Is that true? Why is that?
I don’t understand devs sometimes. Previous gen I would understand as you have to develop for a weak hardware and engine problems etc… but you have a powerful hardware yet you choose 30fps so you can probably sell your dumb screenshots than actually make your game play better by prioritizing 60fps. You would think a dev would want their game to be played best but I guess not.I think they are lazy bastards not including it but they are under pressure to get it out no doubt from the publishers.
I'm guessing behind the scenes, development has been an utter shit show. You don't make a game uglier than Arkham series while also struggling to hit 60 fps on 10TF consoles with high-performing CPU cores. This is Saints Row all over again. Bad news after bad news.I don’t understand devs sometimes. ?? Why would they when 99% of games play at 60?Wow that's really insulting to console owners. Will no doubt make them feel like their hardware is weak.
This post exudes ignorance. We just had a thread about this sort of thing, so I'll reiterate my thoughts on 30fps here: I'll pass. The power of XSX and PS5 deserve better than 2002 performance.
He is right though. 30fps only in 2022 is ridiculous. This post exudes ignorance.
It was on PC, not on the consoles. And it never got a fps boost on PS5/Series X.Was Arkham Knight 60fps?
Can't remember
Posted twice already100% confirmed by a Dev at WB now too.
This game just keeps getting worse and worse...
Ah I didn't see it on the last page that I just clicked on, I don't tend to read every comment, usually first page and the current page XDPosted twice already
Man, this sucks that we are hitting this issue so early in the generation. I would have hoped for most games throughout the generation we would see a dynamic 4K / 60 fps performance mode option at least.I've heard rumors that a performance may be added in a patch, but people who are playing the game for the review don't have any graphics modes and the game runs in 30fps.
