Street Fighter V |OTV| BUFF MY MAIN & NERF THE CHARACTER I JUST LOST TO

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WDHWZFJE9TM

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FysYWK1T2Lc

Uploaded a couple of matches. Critique is welcome... really trying to get out of bronze one day, lol

I only had time to watch one match, but you seem to sway back and forth between being able to train a person to fuck up (like getting him to jump back so you can DP) and doing random shit when you have a huge lead or when you've lost a lot of life. Relax. Even Super Bronzers will take advantage of that with scrubby stuff, so make sure to just calm it down and think about what's the best in a situation (like not jumping in with HK and going for a easily blocked cr HK).

Also, optimize your combos to get more damage. You left some on the table - finish your plate! I'd practice those next as well, or what to do when you are in a particular situation (like having one bar of meter or something). Maybe figure out three decent ones you can execute constantly.

Don't be afraid to look at what an opponent is doing and open them up. Use those overheads, throw him more (didn't look like he was teching at all), etc.

Just keep playing more matches to get the jitters down and watch the other dude. The match I watched looked like he was hanging himself quite often. Let him and capitalize. Your general execution wasn't bad though, so keep it up fam.

Thanks man!

Yeah, i need to get more efficient at combos. I tend to drop alot and play a bit too reactively at times

Just watched a bit of the first video, but stop with the point blank sweeps IMMEDIATELY! You're lucky all he ever did was counter sweep. From that range, he could've done pretty much anything. Similarly, you should've been punishing him for his point blank sweeps. All I ever saw was a couple of jabs into nothing.

Also, you didn't challenge his jump in's enough. You got that anti-air jab.

And you press buttons on wakeup a lot. Try to be a bit more defensive, and stop hitting him with a normal and then jumping. That's a clear pattern that many would take advantage of.

Mago did a whole "Look how ass Karin's anti-airs are" segment on this week's Topanga TV. Is he switching to Urien or something?

Not if he's trying to pick a character with better anti-airs. Well maybe slightly better.

I was watching Sako play Urien, he does a lot of well spaced light tackles, in a way that hits in the tackle's later active frames, results in less recovery. I should practice that, looked annoying.

I think Combofiend got thrown under the bus when they said 'fuck Capcom USA's Season Pass roadmap.' It's been all Haunts since then.

He hasn't made a blog post since Feb 12th.

http://www.capcom-unity.com/combofiend/blog

He was at SDCC w/ Mike Ross

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSftOpq9UfY

He was at EVO for the SF Panel

Come on, man... Stop pulling stories out of your asses. You're conflating what you thought he was doing before the game out with his involvement post launch. Haunts is "Director of Media and eSports" of course he'll be posting more about the things we're hearing. Also, the roadmap remained accurate aside from Ibuki. Hell we got a character early. That definitely seemed like people with shitty translations throwing shade at SF because OMG SF AND CAPCOM SUCK.

if there's one thing that makes me the most upset about SFV is this and this

just turn your brain off and hold up + forward lol, it's like every character has a dr. doom divekick. AA'ing is a hazard in this game (unless you got that 3f AA jab that might as well be invincible)

Thanks again!

Jabs into nothing is because my combo game is shit :(

Someone on the SF subreddit who claims to be one of Brian Oliveira's arcade buddies is saying that Brian is the one who left. Of course, it's Reddit, so take it with a grain of salt.

We take a lot of things you say with a grain of salt at this point tbh

I don't mind running into boosters too much. I call them unexpected training dummies, but with FM rewards. I usually knock them down, and then time a meaty to practice my crush counter combos.

I can see it getting annoying if the game kept matching you to him, though.

All the boosters I run into pick Vega, seemingly to annoy you since his 3 frame lk is on turbo. They need to get banned imo.

I miss the good ol' days when boosting in a fighting game meant going into training mode in MvC2 and leaving the Dreamcast on overnight.

Man, I did not like the fact that I had to play Arcade mode countless times just to get all the characters, the colors and art. Time Attack didn't even give you enough points. Just annoying.

Things in the shop got so expensive in MvC2. It's one of those games where things get more expensive the more you buy, but they didn't balance it right. It's like they didn't even stop to think about how expensive the last few items would be.

I even take Capcom's official blog posts with a grain of salt :p
jJust kidding.
Edit: Nvm, I didn't read your post correctly, missed the "you say" part.

Yeah, I also use them to practice my meaties and CC spacing.

A solution to this is adding a matchmaking lobby.
