They may announce and tease all their upcoming TLOU stuff here and then to do a full showcase there. If they will pack a lot of games in 40 minutes pretty likely won't spend a lot of time on each game.

I didn't think of that, perhaps a Last of Us 2 Remastered announced in this showcase the con Outbreak Day a gameplay walkthrough of Last of Us 2 Remastered showcasing improvements in detail

I was thinking with Sony buying Evo, what if Sony partnered with Capcom for PlayStation Vs Game that's similar to Marvel Vs Capcom. It would make sense, we know Street Fighter V team is busy with VI, but Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite team we have no idea what they are working on and I doubt they would do another Marvel Vs game after the last one flopped. Sony now have enough characters for a Vs game we can have Kratos, Aloy, Kat, Deacon, Helghast and etc.

By the way, where are those people who were saying "Sony isn't having an event because they have nothing to show"?

It's time we accept that Sony is doing its own thing, not following others. They'd have a show in their own time, when they prefer. They won't have a show in June just because everyone else is having a show. It's important to say that because next year I'm sure we will again get stupid posts like "Sony has nothing to show".

That game didn't appear on the leaked Capcom schedule for the next 4 years or so, and their fighting team will be releasing Street Fighter 6 and its updates for the whole generation. Someone rumored that they are in talks to buy Arc System Works, which would make sense because are working in the fighting game of one of the top 2 top grossing PC games worldwide during the last decade (huge in Asia and PC, markets where they want to grow), worked since PS1 in over a dozen PS exclusives, should be cheap, work in 2 or 3 games at the same time and also can make anime games to promote their anime stuff and to make anime games for their deal with Kadokawa. Plus their last anime game sold more than any Kojima game ever published, even if they are small team.

Playstation Studios Malaysia?

Anyone got an idea what they might be working on?

Edit: Supposedly one of Playstations ”most well-known and well loved franchises” according to Pushsquare
They are one of the support studio that Sony has. They help the lead teams from SSM, ND, etc. who work in the Sony games.

Other support team is Sony Visual Arts Group, the one who works in the cinematics of most Sony AAA games and also supports the team providing art and animation for the games. A subset of SVAG are the ones making the TLOU remake, because they were tired of only support other teams and wanted to have their own project, so they had the idea of making the TLOU1R.

Honestly I just want to see something that makes me go "woah fuck that is next-gen". Ratchet & Clank semi-did it, Horizon FW.... looks great but HZD looked good... I need more.

...since I still cannot get a PS5 at normal retail price anyway..

Hopefully:
New Ape Escape
New Socom with additional BR Mode
New The Getaway game
Metal Gear Remake

In reality I will get nothing.

Most likely they will show a new GTAV trailer.😴

The 2021 always has been realistic because it would mean they would have spent the amount of development time this studio spent in their recent games, plus this one won't be a reboot, it will be a direct sequel with pretty likely many rehased stuff from the previous one plus some dropped features and content planned for the first one.

A H1 2022 release is highly possible.
Ashhong already said that "GOW is not making the first half of 2022" and he knows what he's talking about since he has inside information (which he vetted with the staff) on the matter. So no, H1 2022 is not happening.

Pretty sure those announcments will be the same week but after the showcase. This showcase is specifically for PS5 stuff. But a certain remaster may have a PS5 release, and be announced after the show coming to PC as well :)
I mean, you are not wrong but i said "Future" as in waay in the future lol.

Looking forward to it. 40 minutes does seem a little on the short end, but hopefully it’s a very tight and focused 40 minutes without unnecessary bloat. Announcing no VR news at this event is already a good sign.

All I want to see is the new God of War finally, preferably with gameplay shown. Everything else will be gravy on top.

It's because, for some reason, some people think Sony should be doing daily press releases like Microsoft, which I don't understand. Games have been coming out. State of plays have been happening. I don't get all this "finally" talk. Games development is slow, there just aren't announcements to make every day/week/month.

Predictions:
  • Horizon Forbidden West Story Trailer
  • God of War Trailer (either in-engine or gameplay)
  • TLOU Remake
  • Twisted Metal
  • Firewalk's IP
  • Forspoken Gameplay
  • Death Stranding (Kojima's trailer)
  • Guerrilla's second game reveal
  • Santa Monica second game announcement teaser
  • Spider-Man 2 announcement? (too soon but can't rule it out because of the upcoming holiday season)
Lol do you also want a bj and the proof that fucking virgins in heaven is a real thing to accompany all of that?! :lollipop_squinting:

I feel there is alot of hype around this and they will knock it out the park. And it won't just simply be updates on already known games but atleast 1 megaton new AAA game announcement.

New Silent Hill game please. Ideally from Hasan/Kojima, but I would be also okay with another Japanese studio. And no blooper team, we know that you are probably work on one, but noone wants to play that.

That being said, we should keep our expactations in check. The PS5 is still sold out worldwide, so Sony might want to keep some things secret until the sales slowly go down.

Who said it was dead?

They wanted to replace with LGBT characters the hetero white males even in the memes 😂

It's Sony, expect to see their game footage captured in PS5 and being for games to be released in a year or maximum 2 years.
They seemed so

FINALLY, one of the hundreds of events!

This is why I always wait for direct confirmation; the insiders have been garbage at predicting almost everything gaming-wise the past half year.
