Some of these predictions/wishlists are hilarious. No wonder so many come out the other side of these things disappointed,.

Also to anyone mentioning FFXVI, Yoshida''s team wont have anything ready to show for TGS 2021, what makes you think they will have something for next week?

My predictions; Deathloop, new gt7 video, update on horizon, update on kena, update on cod, another GOW teaser, some indies

It's only 40 minutes long. At least four of the first party games are cross gen. there will be indies and third party trash like CoD. I would keep my expectations in check.

Sony's E3 2015 show was way better than their 2014 show. The same is going to be true this year. Horizon, GT7, GoW, TLOU Factions are not going to blow anyone away. It will be a decent showing at best.

E3 2022 is when they will finally show up with next gen games that are 2-3 years away.
Yeah, this needs to be repeated. These are going to be the same people though who will be the most disappointed! Or act like they are.

I think the fact that Sony haven’t tempered expectations suggests this show could be a banger. It’s impossible not to be excited. Saying that, I’ll be as pissed off as anyone if they don’t give me some GT7 goodness.

They do that all the time.

In the last 40 minute show in September last year, they showed the following:
- 3 minute trailer for FF16
- 3 minute trailer for Harry Potter
- 7 minute footage of Miles
- 5 minute demo of Demon Souls
- 5 minute CoD black ops demo
- RE8 trailer
- Deathloop trailer
- DMC trailer
- Couple of indie games.

40 minutes just isnt enough to blow anyone away. You are going to get a very by the numbers conference.

I think that's a good line up. Something similar would be pretty awesome imo.

yay, finally :messenger_pouting::messenger_grinning_smiling: . I'm not going to get my hopes up too high since it is 40 minutes though. I guess we'll finally see the new god of war in this showcase and more gt.

We're getting god of war ragnarak gameplay ain't we? An entire show is worth it just for that alone!
Really interested to see where they take the next game. The ending of 2018 really sets it up to be as epic as Santa Monica can imagine really. Visiting Jötunheim, no matter how brief it was, it really felt like visiting a mythical and magical place, I hope we see more (and the story certainly hinted we would).

That's over 8 games. If we see God of War and Horizon Forbidden West (we'll likely see both) that's already a great start

Then add in a few games like FF16 or Forspoken with 1 or 2 surprises then this presentation is already better than any show in 2021

Many people were predicting multiple SOP events scattered throughout the next few months to reveal multiple titles. Same people were saying the same thing even last year.

However I've been saying for months now that it's simply not Sony's style to miss out on a huge blowout event in which they can potentially reveal some BIG titles. Sony are divas, they want all the attention, glamour and eyes they can get, just look at their previous events in the past year or two and look at the amount of views they've garnered, it's insane.
Yup I knew it was coming soon. Showing your roadmap keeps the hype sky high and Sony are very good at building momentum

Deathloop
Vanguard (PS beta starts that weekend)
GTAV trailer (maybe GTA Trilogy too)
Kena
Guardians of the Galaxy
Horizon
God of War
GT
FFXVI
I think you may be spot on, minus Deathloop. Surely they wouldn’t show it again, following a state of play?

It's out the following week. Just like the Vanguard beta that begins that weekend, it'll be one last time to promote it before launch.

Deathloop might be great, but I’d imagine there will be a giant, collective sigh if it is shown again 😂
