Whatever you think about one of those final releases changes absolutely nothing about the exhilarating feeling of this E3's presentation.
Feelings does not translate to cold hard cash as seen by Last Guardian and Shenmue 3 bombing. For sure Sony is looking at e3 2016and psx 2016 instead of e3 2015 for inspiration. Note: 2016 was the year of God of War gameplay reveal, Last of us 2 trailer, Horizon gameplay, Tsushima reveal trailer.

Live from NeoGAF, it's Friday Night!

For me it was about the feelings.

So here is my predictions V3

- God of War 2 Gameplay Demo (Decent amount of footage featuring a biss fight ending)
- Demons Souls: The Sixth Archstone DLC (Can be bought as a DLC, but a bundle is also revealed with Demons Souls base game, Demons Souls based game features a new casual mode for easy difficulty)
- Avengers: Spiderman DLC Trailer
- Returnal DLC (Base game is also updated with improvements such as save states)
- Gran Turismo 7 New Trailer
- Final Fantasy 16 New Trailer
- GTAV E+E and GTA Trilogy announced
- Forspoken Gameplay Demo (Decent amount if footage to get a good idea of gameplay loop)
- Dragons Dogma 2 Announced
- Arrowhead Games New IP (published by Sony and exclusive to PS5)
- Last of Us 2 Directors Cut (Improved lighting and textures and polygons, minor new content such as weapons, an extra section but not stotry focused)
- Guerilla Games 2nd Project Tease New IP (PS5 only, 2023)
- Firewalk Studios New IP Trailer (PS5 only, 2023)

No shows
Call of Duty Vanguard (we just had a trailer)
Horizon FW (We had a State of Play, and a Pre Order Trailer very recently)
Death Stranding (Trailer coming day before event)
Deathloop (trailer and previews just shown last week)
Alan Wake (already revealed, also if it's a Plus game that's something they will just reveal when they anounce October Plus games)
Kena (Blogpost states this showcase is focused on holiday and future games, this is coming before holiday)
Factions (looking at theere hiring of this games it seems this may have been rebooted or has had development issues, I think this will be saved for Game Awards or next year E3)

I think Demons Souls DLC and Last of Us 2 Directors Cut will both be released this holiday, one in November and one in December.
Demon's Souls DLC? Not a chance. They closed Japan Studio and BluePoint games has bigger things in the pipeline. Doesn't make any financial sense to make DLC for a niche game that seemingly didn't sell that great. And no, including a "casual" difficulty won't spark sales worth the trouble, cost and time.

Bloodborne was niche and got a DLC called The Old Hunters. Japan Studios won't make this it would he Bluepoint collaborating with From Software and XDEV. Bluepoint will also be working on anothrr remake but not reveal at this event (God of War 1 Remake? Ico Remake?) It would just be a small DLC, but new content, reusing assets and engine from the remake for a low cost DLC. Easy mode is a post launch effort to drive up sales for Demons Souls Ultimate Edition bundle with this DLC. It's probably the least likely prediction but I wanted to include a out of left field prediction instead of a boring list or likely games (which the majorit of my list is).

They didn't close Japan Studio, they restructured it. Their Japanese XDEV 2nd party publishing team will continue publishing stuff (like Death Stranding Director's Cut very soon), but now under XDEV instead of under Japan Studio. Their other part, the 1st party internal development teams, have been downsized and focused around their internal team Team Asobi. Since what now remains is a bigger Team Asobi, they rebranded Japan Studio to Team Asobi. Both their XDEV Japanese team and Team Asobi are hiring to grow after the restructuring.

Regarding its sales we can't know if good or bad because they didn't reveal them. We can only assume they aren't huge because it was a launch game and because it's a relatively niche type of game (but one that got dlcs).

Sony has a great apportunity to impact the videogame trending
..E3 and Gamescom were so lame that even a Knack 3 announcement would be better...
Thats the one thing Sony is good at because they know just how important it is to show gameplay. CG trailers just dont do it anymore. E3s have always been about those big MGS2 9 minute trailers. Go big or go home kind of events. I have no idea why people think CG or even inengine trailers are the way to go.

The Horizon Forbidden West gameplay demo was better than nearly everything shown at E3 and Gamescom this year despite being last gen. GOW demo should top that. Last september, Sony had a great Miles demo and a stunning looking Demon Souls demo, and a full ratchet 7 minute demo around Gamescom in August. Thats the way to go imo.

No Persona 6, no KOF, no VF6, no Atlus game at all, not shure about FF, no sequel to Monster Hunter World, no Shenmue 4, no Capcom VS SNK 3, no Uncharted, no Street Fighter Zero 4, no Ridge Racer, no Teraway, no Destruction Derby, no Wipe Out, no Witcher 3 4K, no Kingdom Hearts, no Deux Ex, no Metal Gear, no Silent Hill, no Ninja Garden 4, no Playstation All Stars, no ports of SEGA arcade games not even from the SEGA AGES 2500 line, no Modnation Racer, no GTA 5 4K, no GTA 3 remakes, no Tekken 8, no Castlevania and the list can goes on and on... OKEY! Now please be excited! 🤡

But we'll be getting more trash from Abandoned with the same 5 assets over and over and talks, lots of talks about how the experience is an experience and how this experience is create to make it an experience! I can't wait to see how trash it's gonna be in my perspective (an infamous game, a direct sequel to 2 would be really good, a port of Resistance 3 too).

You guys think the new Bioshock might be on the event?
If it's indeed a PlayStation timed exclusive as it was reported some months ago, then it would make sense for both Sony and 2K to announce it during this showcase. The game has been in full production for nearly two years now, following two other years of preproduction from 2017 to 2019.

Ah, yes you’re right. I was unsure wether I misremembered but there was indeed rumors about it being a timed exclusive. It would be a natural fit as well, it seems Sony are trying to secure good FPS games (probably because their in house studios excel at other genres/game types).

My realistic/conservative prediction:

100%
  • God of War (2018) sequel
  • Gran Turismo 7
  • Forespoken
75%
  • Solar Ash
  • GTA V next-gen edition
50%
  • Little Devil Inside
  • New fps game (probably GaaS)
25%
  • New Bluepoint Games project/remake
  • Naughty Dog project, either TLoU remaster and/or Factions
  • Ghostwire Tokyo
  • Pragmata
0%
  • Final Fantasy XVI
  • Final Fantasy Remake Part 2
  • New Guerrilla Games project
  • New Sony Santa Monica project
  • New Hideo Kojima project
  • Bloodborne remaster
I really hope to be wrong on at least one of those 0%.

Don't know why It's so hard to develop a new Socom game.

You can make a normal BR Mode with all classic Socom I/II Maps combined in one huge map with all the looting shit and a classic Mode with the normal Maps without looting.

TGO TGO It’s a bit cosy in that carriage. I feel like I’ll need to self-isolate for 10 days on Friday. Seriously though, I’m loving the hype train. I don’t think it passes through these parts often enough!

probably just a new IP
Doubt it I've been following Simon Larouche one of the leads for the 2nd team. He started tweeting a guy who did the Socom petition and has a Socom remastered twitter page while he was tweeting about socom rumors. He's also put up a tweet about ppl asking him about Socom.

No one has ever said the rumor about Guerillas second game is Killzone ppl just speculated it the rumor was that team has always been working on Socom. The 2 main ones we k ow off worked on siege and Socom confrontation.

Socom has always been Sony's lead multiplayer game and Confrontation was probably the main reason for the Ps3 hack. PUBG and fortnite are based off Socom too.

Lol you know fortnite put a funny version of the tanker map in Socom right? You do know the funny dances was a Socom thing right? I could've sworn I read something from the creators of PUBG they where inspired by Socom.
So is Fortnite based on Uncharted 4 too?

Bit of a stretch there I'd say.

Those of you who are still 'predicting' MGS remake and Silent Hill, could you stop trolling already, please? 100% not gonna happen. Nope, not even one in a billion chance. Sad but true.
