He is pissed off that he had to do a crossgen version of ragnarock aswell.
Maybe he's pissed off because told him the next GoW will be about killing Kratos in the intro and lesbians and trans people fighting the patriarchy.

The front page of the Konami Store got updated with Metal Gear, Silent Hill, and Castlevania. They could have done it to milk any announcements made at the Playstation Showcase for merch sales.
Make sure there won't be any Metal Gear, Silent Hill and Castlevania announcement at the PS event.

Cool...didnt know it was recently updated with those three titles.

I gotta say, if Sony really did acquire the Videogame rights to Metal Gear, Silent Hill, and Castlevania (for life, I hope...) that would be a huge get. Arguably much better than buying some big studios IMHO. Those properties have just been sitting dormant and are a goldmine waiting to be tapped.

I want to believe:

Castlevania - FromSoft
Metal Gear Remake - Bluepoint
Silent Hill - Kojima

But it sounds way too good to be true. This is like 2015 E3 levels of amazing.

But pretty much anytime someone tries to make a flying super hero game it sucks. Including previous Ironman games.
Man get the dudes that did anthem and out some real talent who can get that job done right! Anthem always felt like an Ironman game to me if done right. Also can be expanded upon as an avengers game with all the fixings

I know the obvious temptation with this is to think that there’s not going to be much of a megaton-like announcement, due to covid, but I do think they’ve left it late enough in the year to believe that they’ve been waiting on something pretty big to firm itself up.

I expect at least one big surprise, with some fairly meaty updates on existing games. In marketing you either go first or last. This is kind of the perfect time to be going last before the autumn game releases start to kick in.

But what if they ended up to be mostly true?
Sony ain't purchasing the IPs from Konami, I know that. There's a some sort of large collab in place between the two companies, but Konami ain't getting rid of those franchises.

And about the Marvel IP, yes, there could absolutely be another Marvel property being worked on by PS Studios outside of Insomniac's Spider-Man, but that doesn't change the fact that Tidux's words about it shouldn't be taken seriously at all, 'cause that guy is a joke.

Chances the Malaysian Studio have been working on this supposed Infamous project? If they're possibly remasters/remakes, is that not something you could get someone other than Sucker Punch to do.

Did their job listings not say it's working on an existing franchise?

Dunno, I think they're just 25 people....

Bluepoint has a lot more than that for remakes. Although the staffing seems to be along those lines, with artists for assets etc.

OK, I didn't realise it was that small right now.

Makes the rumours I saw of them creating the next Uncharted seem even more far fetched then

There are a gazillion dumb 'leaks' or 'rumors' that are only bullshit. If people keep releasing a gazillion more then a few of them will be spot on.

Let me be an 'insider':
-This event will get the GoW gameplay reveal
-New GT7 trailer with release date
-We'll get TLOU announcemnts
-Next Insomiac game announced, it's from a popular IP
-One of the main Sony studios announces the secret project they had in the works since 2018
-We'll see a new 2nd party game being announced
-We'll see new Japanese AAA 3rd party games announced
-we'll see a few indies, most of them already announced, getting release dates or launch trailers
-Games are not the only things to be announced in the event

So none of the major stuff he has heard has leaked yet
You're assuming he heard insider stuff from the event, and pretty likely it isn't the case

Alan Wake stuff getting announced elsewhere?
The PS event is for important PS games, focusing on exclusive and particularly on the ones published by the first party.

Alan Wake is a 2 generations multiplatform old port that back then didn't have great sales. Obviously won't be in the event, being around 40 minutes old they will focus on maybe only a dozen of games or so.

What are you talking about? Andy Robinson 100% knows stuff lol
What did he say he knows about the event? Did he say the name of a specific game or studio?

Maybe it will be like E3 2015 where Sony announced FFVII Remake, The Last Guardian and kickstarted Shenmue 3. Maybe...
Won't happen, these were 3 games were mythical most requested games from many people. Right now there aren't 3 games with a similar amount of hype and hope behind them. Only Half Life 3 for PC gamers.

But pretty sure we'll get stunning stuff like GoW and GT7 gameplay plus the announcements of at least 3 games from top Sony Studios (Insomniac, Guerrilla, ND), a handful of games from top (maybe GTAV E&E? And a few Japanese, pretty likely Square and Capcom? ) publishers, some cool AAA new IP from someone people didn't expect (Firewalk? London Studio? Arrowhead? Pixel Opus?) a few cool indies for the rest of the year or early 2022 (Kena, Little Devil Inside, one new, etc) and pretty likely something else like one or two acquisitions (Blue Point?) or PS Now news. Haters will continue hating, but pretty sure will be a stunning event.

But again realistically, this is whats probably gonna happen

Guaranteed IMO
  • Horizon
  • Project Athia
  • Vanguard
  • Grand theft auto E&E
  • GT7
  • GTA 5 E&E
  • GOD Of War Gameplay
In 40 minutes there's only so much you can show, I don't even think they'd have time to show that all in 40 minutes so some might get cut.

Possible
  • Deviation Games or Firewalk Studios showcase their MP IP's
  • Factions

I don't see any Marvel IP's, Resistance, SH, MGS, or crazy bombshell announcements. That's gotta be in a longer show, at least an hour

The crazy stuff is most likely being saved for an end-of-the-year state of play.

Andy is not the type to spoil surprises, but all his recent teases regarding the event are based on inside knowledge. The guy has broke god knows how many stories these past few years on VGC with spot on accuracy ffs, how can you even suggest that he doesn't have any sort of behind the scenes knowledge? :pie_eyeroll:

And btw Sony doesn't run a ship as tight as you think.

If they do 3 minutes a trailer that would give us 13 games or more if some of them are 2 minutes and most trailers are 2 minutes or less

They can easily have 15 games at this showcase if they wanted

Damn that’s a lot of teasing. Still have to keep expectations low.

…unless there’s a new Killzone, in which case I’ll throw myself on the hype train while screaming incoherently
