Current Sony has interested only on AAA games and Indie games, not gems like this.

Hard to Kill
Wish I cared about Playstation, Nintendo has been a bore for years.
Same I was a nintendo fanboy all my childhood but the Wii was the tipping point, I haven't bought a Nintendo console since.Sure there are some game I will miss but not enough to warrant me a purchase. But I gotta admit That Metroid 4 might help me into it.
I feel like that's basically what drives non biased people toward an Xbox a ps or a nintendo console just go where you can play the games that interests you.
I am more interested in Ps simply because I bought a ps3 in 2009 when I had to spend almost 2 years in an hospital bed aand they pulled me into their franchises and made me discover lots of games. So I am more interested in their games. But my tastes are not the same as others that's why I don't understand games being touted as the bests because it is linked to your tastes, just like you can love a bad game and hate a great game.

With Sony buying Evo, people say they should do a partnership with Arc System Works to make PlayStation Allstars fighting game. However what about Team Soul, with partnership with Namco. As the Souls series is most likely dead, I think it would be in Team Souls best interest to do a collaboration like this. We can have characters from Sony franchises as well as 3rd party guests featured in this. Kratos with the Axe, Aloy with the bow, Delsin with the whip chain, Bloodborne Hunter, Ghost of Tsushima, Demons Souls character, Cloud with the buster sword and etc.

Another idea would be to make a competitive and co op hero based shooter. We know Guerilla Games is making a multiplayer shooter. What about PlayStation allstar hero based shooter. It can feature Helghast, Chimera, Aloy, Jak, Ratchet, Deacon, Drake, Woman in Returnal all with there own unique abilities. Maps could be based on Sony franchises.

I can't believe nothing has really leaked (officially) - probably MiB is looking the most likely. Infamous doesn't really tickle me the right way after playing SS recently and not really digging I2. Killzone 5 or whatever would have me a little excited got to say.
MiB was likely fake too since the page doesn’t show up in way back machine. A bit too convenient that the page never existed when posting too.

Oh man... The salt is strong. So many sweating xboxers...

Please Sony gods, give us new Ip. New IP. NEW IP

The show is not about lording it over other companies. Fuck that. This is about showing why you bought/should buy a PS5. Revealing GOW:Ragnarok footage is for me, not for me to jeer Xbox owners with.

I would love to see one of the recent partnership games revealed although it feels too early for anything substantial. I can't fucking wait for this.

When all is said and done.
All that's really needed is 2mins gameplay of a new IP of something never done before to make the world go nuts. Especially in terms of gameplay mechanics.

And if anyone can make it happen is Naughty Dog's Uncharted team. Haven't seen anything from them since Lost Legacy.

Would be good if they did something in space.

Have there been any rumors of potential PS1-3 BC? That would be a pretty big megaton drop and allows them to drip feed a ton of content between big releases.

I think the chance of that happening died 2 years ago when Sony confirmed PS4 BC and has and will remain dead. I don't see any chance of it ever happening.

I wonder if the Nixxes were bought not only for porting to PC but maybe to find out how to get PS1/2/3 games to work on PS5.

They can do PS1 as Medievil had a PS1 emulator in the PS4 game.

Hum... my life will be better if I embrace that facts don't matter? who knew. Thanks for the enlightenment.
The reality is that Insomniac released 3 console games between 2014 and 2020 (SO, R&C PS4 and Spider Man PS4). Far from the "typically 1 or 2 games a year" that you claimed. Hence my factual comment that you were taking a holiday from reality. Not sure why you're qualifying that as a personal attack but you must have your reasons.
This is what the facts (so the reality) say:

You are wrong. With the exception of 1997, 2001, 2010 and 2017 where they didn't release any game, Insomniac released at least a game every year since 1996. In 20 of these years (so most of these years) they released one or two games per year. In 8 of these years they released multiple games in a single year. In addition to for consoles, they also made games for VR or mobile. Even if you don't like mobile or VR, they are games too and should be counted as games made and released by them. Same happens with Spider-Man Miles Morales.

Here is the list of their games:

They can do PS1 as Medievil had a PS1 emulator in the PS4 game.
Nixxed also worked as support dev team with people like Guerrilla (mostly in the tools & engine side), but Sony mentioned that their main role will be to make PC ports.

Sony patented something about improved emulated games where they could change the art assets, the texts or parts of the code like to increase the resolutiion or introduce trophies. I believe they did use that in things like Parappa Remastered or Locoroco Remastered. They may use it in the future, or not.

Nah it'll be way more quickfire than that. Sony have pretty much got their formula down now: big showcases like this are just a rollercoaster of quick trailers (with maybe 1 or 2 ~5min demos) and then they use the State of Plays for deeper dives closer to a game's release.

I'm betting most of what they show will be less than 2 minutes long. GOW and Forspoken, yeah I could see those getting longer demos, but no way 15 minutes combined, and Horizon won't get another demo so soon after the first one.

I reckon 10-12 minutes of demos, and 30 minutes of trailers. Probably about 15 games in total.

Funny how you call me wrong without poiting anything wrong about my statement that I am quoting again for the record:

At no point are you mentioning a console game that Isomniac released between 2014 and 2020 that wasn't SO, R&C or Spiderman. And if you had Stormland or Strangelets in mind when you said "Insomniac typically releases 1-2 games a year, I really have to question why you would make that comment in a thread about the Playstation showcase. It came across as if you were implying that Playstation owners can expect 1 to 2 new Insomniac games a year going forward because that's what happened over the last year. That would be contentious and their longer track record (on consoles) proves it. Also as a PS5 owner who's console is starting to collect dust, yes I find it a bit misleading.

In addition to their console games, Insomniac also released PC, VR, Magic Leap and mobile games. They released a total of 15 games between 2014 and 2020. This is a fact.

When I originally said that they typically release one or two games per year (something that they did in 20 different years) it was another fact, I didn't reduce it to console only games because there is no point to do so because they are still games (and Sony also makes games for VR and mobile so in the future who knows if they may do a VR or mobile game for Sony). I said they typically release one or two games per year. In general.

Even if you try to reduce their games to count only their console games because you're trying now to justify your bullshit and lies, you're still wrong. They released Miles Morales in 2020, so they released 4 console games between 2014 and 2020 (plus, they released Ratchet in 2021).

They released their first game 25 years ago in 1996, and they released one or multiple games every year since then with only 4 years as exception, this is a fact. So it isn't crazy to think the next year they can release another game, it's the normal thing to assume considering their track record. And it isn't crazy to assume it may be the sequel of their most successful game ever, that even if we don't know when it's going to be released we know they have it in the works for a while in one of their multiple teams.

If you really have a PS5 collecting dust (at this point it's very hard to believe you) it just means that your tastes aren't aligned with the majority of the gamers, or at least the gaming press. Because in half a year or so they released over half a dozen great exclusives (Demon's, Astro, Sackboy, Morales, Returnal, FFVIIR Intergrade expansion, Guilty Gear Strive, Ratchet) with a great Metacritic plus many cool indies (some of them also with some sort of exclusive) and many cool multiplatform games. Some crossgen and some next gen only.

Thats what I said though. The only games with longer segments are of gameplay from Ragnarok, forbidden west and forspoken.
The other trailers may be like 1 or 2 or 3 minites, but I see no reason to be padantic. The overall gist of predictions seem to be similar, the majority of the time will be spent on Ragnarok, forbidden west, forspoken and other big AAAs.

Forspoken looks like one of those empty open world games. Those dont lend themselves to an exciting demo. I suspect we will see a trailer of sorts for that game.

Forbidden West already got a demo. I think it will get a longish trailer a la GoW e3 2017 story + gameplay trailer. GoW should be the only one with a proper 5-8 minute demo.

They might end the show with a next gen only gameplay demo like the MGS remake. Or some other new IP.
