Its THE show I have been hearing bits and pieces about for a couple of months and personally the most excited I have been for a show in awhile.

I don't have many certainties regarding what's going to be at the event but for what it's worth I had heard that FFXVI, Forspoken and GTA V were planned to be featured in this showcase back when it was still scheduled for July, alongside some 2023 game reveals (don't know any names, but they should be heavy hitters if Sony intended to show them off this early). Other than that, I have no idea, but if some of the games (both first-party and third-party) that I've been hearing things of these last couple of months end up being shown tomorrow, then I think we could be in front of an event that would potentially rival the hype of Sony's E3 2015/2016 conferences.

So yeah, Heisenberg is right in that this could be THE show for Sony.

Yes they really need a banger of a show. Some have lost some confidence in the platform and it's time to prove how serious they are about gaming.

Gonna miss the live stream so I'll end up seeing the new stuff on youtube via thumbnails. -sigh- Gonna get spoiled before I have the chance to watch.

I think the people who have been following Sony for some time know how they operate so they don't lose confidence in the platform

PS might get quiet for a moment (usually at the start of a new generation) but when they're ready to show, they rarely disappoint

Why don't you save a link to the YoutTube livestream of the event somewhere, so then you just have to copy and paste it into your browser and go directly into full screen mode without risking to be exposed to spoilers while looking for a repeat of the showcase on YT?

Didn't think of it.

Hey mate. When do you theorize we'll get next gen exclusives? Like are these games expected to land in next year or in 2023.

I'm fucking tired of seeing these cross-gens. I want Series X and PS5 to start sweating.
Cross gen is going to hang around 2-3 years before we get mostly full next gen games about the time we start closing in on those 20 TF mid gen refreshes :)

I seriously doubt there will be mid gen refresh consoles that are nearly double in peak theoretical performance as the once we have now.
I dunno. 20TF Pro models of these consoles? I mean, shit that would be nice but wouldn't they just rather wait until next gen for PS6 to release consoles with such high specs?

Yes, please. Give me 2. And a remake of the PSP and Vita games merged in a single game.

I think crossgen games will continue being very common, a majority of the total, in 2023 and we will still see some of htem in 2024 for both consoles due to covid. Plenty of crossgen games originally planned for late 2022 (like Street Fighter 6) very likely have been delayed to 2023.

I think that in mid generation instead of getting a next gen hardware refresh we'll see for the first time a majority of next gen only AAA games and using engines that take full advantage of the current next gen hardware.

And in addition to not having mid gen hardware refresh I think this generation -at least for Sony- will be as long if not longer than the previous one specially if PS5 continues breaking gaming history records during mid and late gen. Which I think it will be the case.

God of War and Gran Turismo footage are almost guaranteed. Confident we'll get a reveal of a new AAA project that hopefully blows our minds. Beyond that an MGS remake and/or Bloodborne 2 reveal would really do it for me. Anyway, super hyped for tomorrow, hardcore PlayStation fan since the beginning 🙏.

It's going to be 11 pm for me, barely tolerable.

For the past ten days I've been working overtime (12 hours each day plus Saturday) in my company, and in its warehouses in particular. This month is where we sell 80% of our inventory and my boss is grabbing personnel from other departments in order to pitch in (I'm actually a graphic artist and now I'm piling books and inserting courier vouches in the packages as well as other things).

Needless to say it's exhausting and I only have 2 hours and a half to eat, bathe and rest.

So, before I lose my voice from exhaustion ...

Let's fucking gooooo ... (faints)

Have you reported this to Jason Schreier?

I don't think Sony is gonna reveal all their cards in a 40 minute show, so some of the predictions here are little too optimistic imo. Especially with console shortages extending well into 2022, theres no reason to divulge everything right now. They'll likely give more detailed looks into their upcoming releases, which is enough to keep excitement high for the near future. A bigger show will come later (2022) with a PSVR2 announcement and multiple megatons (that we don't know about) as supply begins to ramp up.

My predictions for tomorrow's show:
GT7 (Gameplay and Release Date)
Horizon (More Gameplay)
Final Fantasy XVI (New Trailer) Or Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 (Trailer)
Last of Us 2 Multiplayer (Deep Dive and Surprise Release Date)
Call of Duty Vanguard/Warzone (Gameplay)
Acquisition Talk and Bluepoint Game Teaser (Probably a reach)
God of War Ragnarok (Trailer and Release Date)

There wont be many surprises and it wont matter because all of those games are heavy hitters. Surprises will come later.

Could ND finally reveal the Factions MP here? It's been ages since tlou2 came out. I poured in hundreds of hours into the factions from tlou.

I hope they do and hope it's not completely messed up. Don't trust ND anymore. Especially with MP games they have a record of completely messing things up and going overboard.
