I'm still in New Atlantis lol, just running around exploring how fucking huge it is. They weren't kidding about it being their biggest city.
We don't know. One youtube channel which does comparisons says it looks equivalent to mostly High settings on PC.

I'm loving this, this is almost a dream game for me (I wanted to be an astronaut as a kid) but the only few gripes so far (about 3 hours in) is you seem to be thrown from planet to planet really quick in the Main Quest
and theres not a lot to do (they remind me of Fallout and ES indoor dungeons actually)
Also the game is lack that awesome "Opening" that previous Bethedsa games, Leaving the Vault in Fallout or opening the World up in Oblivion for example, its ok but it feels like a Mass Effect rip off in a sense.
The game is running really well, I upgraded my CPU for this game to a Ryzen 5 5600x (from a 2600) and Ultra settings at 45fps is so nice, 60fps inside as well, beautiful and glad I went for the Steam version over my Xbox Series X, I can't wait to lose myself in this over the next few weeks, I already wanna upgrade my ship

What are the benefits to paying these crew members I am finding on New Atlantis ? They're pretty damn expensive.

I finished the Vanguard pilot test and the commander dude congratulated me, then the dialogue zoomed unnaturally close up to Sarah's face because she was participating from a fucking elevator, saying something like You could fly me around some day! that was unintentionally so-bad-its-good comedic genius

Interesting story on this gamepass upgrade
A good friend of mine upgraded and started playing last night and his PC shutdown during the first cave mission and he has tried everything to get it running but it wont boot so he ordered a new PC but wont be here until next week so he tried to refund his upgrade purchase
He was denied saying he had owned the game for longer than the 14 day period thus was ineligible
He has tried to escalate it and was told the same thing
I guess him preordering shows it as being purchased because no way he should be denied for owning it for longer than 14 days?
I know its a small amount but buddy isnt happy atm

There are other outposts on the planet, so maybe there? I was trying to go the other one near the ship but then started to get stomped by a high level creature and ran out of ammo. I will go back later and see if it is there. LOL

Yes, there is one by the radio tower up north of the outpost, it's level 10 and pretty strong, I killed it by just taking the high ground and just shooting it with everything I had on me.

This is not true, only contraband (yellow tagged) items can be picked up by scans, stolen good (red tagged) only show up if you are caught committing a crime or caught with contraband.
You can still successfully smuggle contraband, and you can get rid of red tagged items by selling them at a certain vendor and then just buying them back (same amount of credits), then they legitimately become yours.

I think I’m about to drop this. Finally left Atlantis for a quick delivery mission. Come back and somehow ship attacks me every time I want to land. Can’t land in combat. Kill ship and the whole fleet wants my head.

I've played about 6-7 hours now and haven't left Kreet yet. Can't seem to locate the last resource anywhere on the planet in order to finish off surveying it! My feelings are mixed about the game, there is some stuff I like but then there is other stuff I'm a bit more ehhhhh about. Will keep on going but New Atlantis is the next stop and I'm not sure I can be arsed being overwhelmed in a giant city lol.
