The image quality is what really screams next gen to me. Even a capture from the Youtube video looks very good.
its very hard to capture anything from gameplay unless ratchet does not move. This is from the 2016 CGI movie. Please come back when you have a screenshot from the actual game.
Yeah, it's nuts.
its very hard to capture anything from gameplay unless ratchet does not move.
any movement to left or right and the majority of the screen becomes a blur to hide the 30fps
If i am not mistaken, it seems they also smoothened the transition between the levels that before was stuttering a bit.
Absolutely stunning in 4K. Insomniac deserves a sincere holy shit. Delivering two bangers at or around launch and with an entire generation still a head of them. They'll have pulled the weight of 2-3 studios once it's all said and done. Killer acquisition.
No, actual framerate stutter. You mean this? It's the original trailer BTW not the Gamescom demo.

Look very carefully at the reflections.
In general all of the portals now seem to warp Ratchet in a smoother way compared to the original trailer. You mean this? It's the original trailer BTW not the Gamescom demo.

For only $250 Million right?
No, actual framerate stutter.
I see that they also fixed the shadow glitch on the pirate ship.![]()
And the pop in where the reflections kick in. Do you see it as well or am I just crazy?
I'm not seeing anything other that the "stutter" that happens.
Like the reflections start off extremely low quality then the turn into extremely high quality.
The only thing that bothers me gameplay wise is pausing the game to switch weapons. It ruins the flow of the game. It should be in real time showing the wheel on the bottom of the screen...
Hmm maybe. Too me it's just the angle changing and the blurred effect from the glass. It happens so fast and I'm tired of looking at it lol
Uh yeah, none of this is true. Between all of the weapon upgrades and the skill (platforming, combat) it takes to actually finish the game, it is HARDLY a "learn to use dual sticks" game.
Where do you come up with this stuff? It's bordering on straight up lying to try and force a narrative. The Ratchet games take skill and are great fun to play. This game is going to very popular.
Xbox guys are a fan of it❤

What constitutes a launch window? November-January? November-March?
Ratchet and Clank was definitely CGI. It looked too good not to be. I'm disappointed in Sony for copying Microsoft's trailer model of CGI-only footage.
Let's make a petition to Insomniac to change that!Agreed. Absolutely.
That was the first thing I noticed.
That kind of stop action inventory management looks so outdated in such a dynamic-looking game.
Phil cancelled their contracts and gotMen_in_Boxes to carry the torch instead.
Eh, I'm just not impressed with visuals. All I care about in terms of games are interesting gameplay mechanics. Rift Apart looks to be...more Ratchet...but I've never been impressed with the franchise and there's no reason to be now.
I mean...how long can you look at this?
