Nice work! Glad the video helped a bit. Bloodtinge is definitely important so far as dealing damage with the gun is concerned - using the Evelyn also helps a lot since it is a really efficient way of dealing damage (Much moreso than the Cannon imo). Coupled with Bone Marrow Ash it wrecks shit.Since my last post, I've been trying and trying again to take thing down. Finally after more than an hour of failure after failure, I finally managed to take it down.
The chalice version has been continually kicking my butt lol
I've been wondering what the bone ash did since I have never used it but I guess it really powered up each of your shots (to be honest, I haven't read or paid much attention to all item descriptions, even on the load screen lol). My tinge level is low but since I had a whole bunch in storage I thought I'll follow your lead and use it too. It did way WAY less damage than any of your shots (of course since you had tinge level 40 I think it said in the video description and mine was only 20 lol) but any damage at all against that thing was good enough for me.
And yeah, when it did the jumping attack, it really was better to just stay put. Though there were a few times that I accidentally rolled forward after it did the jump and I became a pancake lol.
I seriously hate its final form where it takes off its arms, it is hard to get close to the arms (that's the part that I usually attacked since to me it was easier to get to after it finished one of its attacks, in your video I saw that you always went for the head). I don't know why but near the end of my last battle, it just kept jumping and jumping. I guess it was because I just kept running far away from it haha. So I did what you said, stayed still, and have it jump on me. Then I figured out, I could land 1-2 hits on its head and then dodge behind it by rolling in between its legs to avoid that hand orb attack thing it does.
At least I'm now done with that reduced health chalice BS.
Standing still is definitely the best trick there, although it's hard since your instincts are telling you to get the hell out so you have to fight that and take your hands off the controller lol.
You're over the hill now as far as difficulty is concerned I guess. The first boss in Ihyll (Pthumerian Descendant) gave me a lot of grief but once I figured out his patterns it was pretty smooth sailing from then on in.
