He's been there long enough, is old enough to maybe not want to have to establish a new Barcelona team over one or two seasons and sells enough merch to go anywhere in the world but the Americas.
Problem is, there is nothing much prestigious around for him apart from England and he doesn't strike me as one of the lads.

I want to know how the fuck Abidal got that job anyway. He always seemed totally unqualified and almost everything he's touched since his hiring has turned to shit. Not really a Barcelona fan but good riddance to that guy. Useless.

He will not go anywhere and will retire at FC Barcelona, the thing is Messi is above the club and this is his way of putting the boot on the president and the board mouths because doing this will rally the registered (and unregistered) fans of the club to crucify both the president and the board. The president is for sure talking to Messi at the moment trying to beg him for a way to make him content again. If Messi does not want to deal with a rebuild he will just retire but I suspect he is holding off because he want to play in one last World Cup in two years and how many Copa América they will hold in the meantime.

Not sure about other leagues but in the Premier League there’s meant to be a test to ensure owners are “fit and proper” But it’s obviously not really enforced. Journalists and pundits should also be better about highlighting this stuff rather than just praising them as being remarkable projects.

I meant who will keep an eye on that lad if he get fired or suddenly change his ways.
About what you said the company decide what is allowed to broadcast, so a corporation with all what that entails.

Ah ok. He’s apparently a fairly regular pundit for RTE in Ireland so if he’s suddenly no longer around then it would seem pressure was applied to them. But his comments are getting a fair bit of press so it would be harder for them to do that now.

Shoutout to Lyon who played like MEN. They didn't win because they lack the manpower and the current Bayern squad is well on its way to be an all timer, but they didn't shit their pants like Leipzig did. Went down swinging, they should be proud.

The board and president yes and you have players who are not performing up the standard that they should and some others that need to be off loaded, you will be fine if you vote for a competent president in the next election.
