Diablo IV |OT| Blessed Mother... Save Us

I get weird audio issues occasionally that resolves if I tab out and back in.

Is playing with controller good? I keep accidentally using potions when I want to press 1, and I have a PS5 controller lying around.

It's my preferred way despite having thousands of hours on D3 PC.

Can everyone with the ultimate view the season pass or battle pass? I've seen two screens where I claim reward but dunno how to just view it when I don't have a reward?

FYI.

PC players.

There's a bug with killing Astaroth.

When you get to him, kill him in the middle of the ground.

Not on the sides. it will bug and you'll have to do it again!

This damn game is crack. Had plans to go out tonight as a farewell to a good friend who is moving away. He just messaged me that he got so bombed last night, he can't physically move, so no one is going anywhere. Not even a tinge of disappointment.

Druid is pretty rough against bosses early on, but it seems to be coming along pretty nicely at around level 25 with some spirit boons and aspects going. I definitely felt like using Necro in the beta was "easier" early on - even playing that on WT2 vs WT1 with Druid.

I feel sorry for your friend... I definitely don't miss those days myself though :p

I'm enjoying barb it's a fun class but due to the enemy level scaling, every fight feels like a slog. So many enemies that are bigger than normal small trash feel like sponges, and any magic or elite takes ages to kill too.

My gear is good but my damage just seems so weak and I die quite fast. I'm mostly a fury whirlwind build. Although call of the ancients does massive damage and wipes the screen. I'm not using wrath of zerk yet since I haven't unlocked the final passives yet.

Thanks to whoever on the dev team added the keyboard lighting support by default. Playing at night and having the keyboard flash is fucking awesome without having to do any extra steps

I hear that. We're up there in years, so back to back drinking days just isn't an option any more...but yeah, I hung out with him on Tuesday night, so I don't feel like a complete sociopath for not being that upset. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Yeah, I feel like same way using Druid. It handles trash mobs well, but struggles with single targets. I've heard they're both rough going early on, but both great in the endgame (especially your whirlwind build).

I am playing WoW at the moment. Does anyone know how much data Diablo takes while playing? I was going to try playing it on a mobile hotspot.

I always play with Barb .... tell me what class is fun to go through the game but not something you need to be massive lore geek to build the character. I always found the necromancer interesting.

I got sick of seeing all his skeleton summons on the screen. Cool class, definitely not the first character I take through the campaign. The Druid has magic and melee you can mess with. I’d say just pick one and go with it. If it isn’t your fav in like 10-20 minutes, try some other class. I’ve read where any class has an opportunity to become powerful.

Basically, I am not saying always sell your gear, but it is not completely useless. Do a mix of both if you must. Gold will help you as you get higher levels.

I definitely do a mix of both in the early levels -- there is plenty of time for mats at higher levels, but having a lot of gold from 20-30 or so, I have found (in D3 and D4 especially) it makes for a better game experience for me. (y)

I am level 44 Hardcore Barb and my buddy is a 44 Hardcore Druid and we've been steamroller. Druid's poison build with a couple of tornadoes mixed with my Call of the Ancients is quite insane.

I’m a level 14 Druid atm and I’m focusing on wear swipe and casting lightning. Lightning is super effective against mobs. I fought a dungeon boss for Necro and it took a while. I could blow through his walls, but taking damage off him took a while. I’m playing with my spouse who is a fire based sorc. AOE is great, directly dps is slow, and I run out of resource fast. I am going to read up on some builds because I don’t want to slot like crazy. I’ve restat some minor things. It’ll just take a bunch more levels to get something going. I’m only utilizing two skills at the moment in Act 2.

Just realised that there are 6 acts. I played all day and evening yesterday, reached level 30 and only just reached Act 3. It’s way bigger than the other games.

Oh and the map is fucking huge. Good news is that Diablo lends itself well to this kind of open world.

An update on the Plus/Gold situation:

There's already multiple reports of people gaming the campaign normally without subscriptions. Looks like the game will ask you the type of subscription you wanna sign at some specific menu, but you can simply dismiss it and enter game. Players were even able to see other people during the campaing, one person even stated that couch co-op worked fine with second player just needing its own battle net account. See the links below were people stated directly that they are playing without the service:

Finished the campaign at level 50. Great game. Much better than D3 at launch. Great job devs.
About to hit level 47 on Hardcore. Haven't started campaign yet, it's much wiser to go for all the shrines and all possible renown for extra talent points (At least for hardcore).

Because you get guaranteed legendaries in the campaign they become a complete waste below level 50, yes you can edtrsct aspects but once you put it in a new item you cannot re-extract them again so its smarter to save them for higher level gear.

Level 50 is where you really need most powerful gear so you can do World Tier 2 Capstone dungeon that unlocks World Tier 3. Plus all the shrines stats bonuses add up a stupid amount of player power. There are 28 to 34 shrines in each of 5 regions.

Yeah, I am one of those weirdos that's loves to min/max.

Some of you guys are flying through this thing. I like the side quests... I've played a lot in last 20 hours, but I'm only at lvl 26 right now.

Rogue has been fun, starting to feel the squishiness though...
Looking forward to jumping into Druid with friends later this week.

So playing as a Rogue I have a few questions

  • I'm level 10 and focused on 2 Skills, my main attack and Barrage for more damage, this seems to be doing well for me but should I start looking at other skills yet or just fully upgrade these
  • Is the step up to World Tier 2 worth it yet or should I wait for more higher gear first?
  • Is it worth joining a guild/clan?

Battle pass doesn't start til the first season starts. Maybe you claimed the renoun rewards for doing things in certain zones? Press Map and then W for mouse/keyboard.
