Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Who?
At least the AnalistaDeBits I kind know it existed.
It's the youtube channel where the loading comparison pictures are coming from.
Who?
At least the AnalistaDeBits I kind know it existed.
Lets wait for Digital FoundryIndeed. His video was posted above as a source for loading times much to my surprise.
Why wait? I posted two direct grabs on the previous page.Lets wait for Digital Foundry
Its a joke dudeWhy wait? I posted two direct grabs on the previous page.
Proper TAA is a godsend for image clarity here. I remember having to pile on Txaa+msaa+mlaa to have acceptable image clarity, but even then there was slight shimmer and crawlies. Hope these new features do land on the PC version sooner or later.Minor details might be better than PC. Rockstar has not confirmed PC will receive the PS5/XSX graphics updates.
Yeah, in general its weird.
The Series S should *NOT* be as big as Series X version either. It should be smaller in size.
R* don't care.
They went with the more popular console
Yet the other video posted shows almost the exact same time. Go figure huh. Obviously Adamagenda didn't post a shot of that and you clearly didn't watch it, so take your conspiracy theory and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.ElAnalistaDeBits is the one who used the Xbox One version for the loading time comparison. He edited it out of his comparison video after people called him out on lying about that, but people in this thread still are posting the GIF of comparing the PS5 version to the Xbox One version to trying to prove the XSX version has 1 minute long loading times, when it doesn't.

I just posted direct captures from both versions. The load times are identical.Yet the other video posted shows almost the exact same time. Go figure huh. They’ve done the work so Is this coming to pc too? Really needs it.

SimpleWhy not compare maxed-out PC to XSX version for a change?
People are very impatient these days remember those 0.2 seconds can be put to better usebut...but...it's not as fast as the speedy ultra super duper fast PS5 ssd!
it loads 0.2 seconds quicker, duh.
Because they want to see how PC compare to the best performing console on the market.
I can barely tell the difference. I almost need to see them side by side, to notice anything.
The rules are not for what people say, they are more about how people react to what people say. Its very inconsistent. How is this not console warring? I dont get the rules on this site, I've seen people cop a warning for a lot less than this crap. Inconsistent rules mean there may as well not be any.
WTF is that bullshit. Jesus Christ. It has been reported via twitter by the same John, some Xbox fanboy menaced and followed him at home if I'm not wrong when ps5 seemed to win more face off at the beginning of the generation; how can be considered more vocal the playstation fanboys reaction in this channel? You should reflect more before to post such absurd claim.Simple
PC vs PS5 vs Xbox Series = 1 video
However, PC vs PS5 = 1 video
PS5 vs XSX = 1 video
Xbox Series S vs Xbox Series X = 1 video.
Not too hard to work out. Plus we know the PS fanboys are far more vocal than xbox ones are so DF most likely didn't want to put up with screaming fanboys demanding to know why they put the Xbox video up first, and that's not fair because Sony has the marketing rights to GTA.
It was probably like that in PS4 version but this is a nice touch, fun way to use controller features:
Overall, dual sense is nicely used and gfx/performance seems ok.
If you're okay with playing at low resolution to get RT effects at 60 FPS and don't care about draw distance etc. then it's a good option.
On PC you can play it with mods like this:
...but that's not a fair comparison.
In a game with a variable resolution, one frame could be higher on one and lower on another, and the results totally fliiped somewhere else in the game.Wait Open Surprise is treated like a reputable source now? The guy who posted this shameless lie in his Elden Ring XSX vs PS5 comparison video?
"Better graphics and higher resolution" Right, perfect. All after VGtech, NXgamer and DF stated/demonstrated the contrary... Have some standarts people.
Well when someone is trying to discredit a video with a conspiracy theory, omitting confirmation it's actually legit does prove you have something you want to say.
Didn't realize load time comparisons now involved selective unskipable videos on one side.
thought we only cared about actual load time speeds from menu to game etc.
I guess the goal posts shift as needed.
This.So a OS feature that skips logos is cheating now because Xbox don't do it.
I mean the actual load screen time is the the same right?
So what's the problem?
If someone is doing a comparison for how long it takes for the player to be actually playing from booting the game.
That fair.
Logos are included in that, and the fact the PS5 skips them is a plus to the player.
So it's a valid comparison.
I don't know, I think people are being silly

This.
Having skippable logos is pretty damn great. I wish that the XsX had the feature.
Bottom line, if being able to skip the logo makes booting the game faster on the PS5 then iti s what it is. No goal posts being moved, just a simple fact.
What about all other loads: Do we have comparisons?
They are suspect.Lets wait for Digital Foundry
Well when someone is trying to discredit a video with a conspiracy theory, omitting confirmation it's actually legit does prove you have something you want to say.
And I guess you think while the animation and screens are being show the game isnt loading in the bacgkound either?
The goal posts remain, it's you trying to move them. We all have eyes, we can all see from dashboard to game is quicker on ps5 like the original video showed.
The irony is it doesn't really matter as Series X loads fractionally quicker in most other metrics, I imagine down to greater memory bandwidth, but the omission of the first one because the guy thinks its cheating and you agree is laughable to be honest.
What about all other loads: Do we have comparisons?
Let's include Quick Resume as well then. OS feature after all.
Sure.
If we include Quick Resume, you can go from Xbox dash to in-game exactly where you left it in 8~ seconds max.
Which pretty much beats all metrics on any device, including PC with NvME SSDs.
In other words: Quick Resume is the best next-gen feature.
People still posting ElAnalistaDeBits and people here giving it thumbs up reactions.
it's accurate though.Damn, that gif has 15k views. Looks like console war Twitter blew their loads prematurely.
Indeed it is. In Cyberpunk for example it works amazingly well.Let's include Quick Resume as well then. OS feature after all.
It will depend from what's happening in the scene at that moment, explosions tend to be more ROP and bandwidth bound for example. It can be the sum of multiples things across the game including of course the CPU-I/O.But if this is true it shows that Xbox CPU could be underperforming for some reason and this is not the only game that shows this.

It's accurate, but highly misleading.it's accurate though.
It's the game boot load and if you pay attention you will see it matches the second video adamsapple posted almost to the second.
It just looks like more cars and smoke effects in one scene than the other. It's the GPU. The XSX framerate drops because it seems to struggle more with alpha effects like grass and smoke. The PS5 is better at that due to fillrate or perhaps even resolution. Nothing to do with CPU I would imagine.I wonder about this framerate comparison from banned source, can't wait for other teams to show us their results.
But if this is true it shows that Xbox CPU could be underperforming for some reason and this is not the only game that shows this.
Let us know when a 500$ PC can play something even fucking close to PS5
Suuuure.oh and by the way
I had a pc with rtx 3080... come at me and I will skin you .... troll

Faster loading and better I/O gives benefits all the time.I think it depends on the situation. Like in games where you die a ton or accomplish a lot of loading having a faster I/O might be more beneficial. But for switching apps it’s definitely nice.
Faster loading and better I/O gives benefits all the time.
