So, err, just a question, but where was the well? Was it in Euros' room? Because if so how on earth did she hide that?
There could easily be more, just it (probably) wouldn't be more Holmes and Watson drama, it'd be solving weird cases and mysteries and having Sherlock try and work out how something was done and who done it.
Wait a second, how did Watson climb that rope if he was chained up.
So, how Sherlock should be.
Oh yeah!!!
What did Sherlock say when explaining how the signs were still visible in the missing glass with Euros? I even turned subtitles on but they didn't have any for that section.

But what was Sherlock supposed to do as a kid? Go to her room and ask her? Or acknowledge that she was lonely and help her? Because if it's the latter what does the room have to do with anything. There's no indication that she stayed in her room all the time or anything.Obviously not in her room. The riddle wasn't meant to find the location of the well, it was meant to find her. It's really about her being lonely and all that.
The well is just somewhere, doesn't matter where. She told Sherlock after he found her and he got what the riddle really meant.
Don't want to know spoilers, but is this the end?
(at the end) The pair are also shown exiting a building marked Rathbone Place – a homage to the great actor Basil Rathbone who played Sherlock Holmes in the movie versions in the 1930s and 1940s.
And, according to the show's writers Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, events at the end of The Final Problem could be just the beginning...
If there is to be a series five – and it appears that all parties are keen to make that happen at some point in the future – then it will be from this starting point, according to the writers, who have indicated that Benedict Cumberbatch's Holmes has now discovered the humanity that it is at the heart of the detective's brilliance.
Gatiss explained: ”Our original intention of the series was to go back to the beginning and see them as younger men and... restore it to its factory settings. But I think what's actually happened is that we have now done the story of how the Sherlock Homes and Doctor Watson that we have always known, how they became those men. It's actually really a backstory.
”The reason we [ended with] Rathbone Place is that, actually, if we do come back – and we would love to come back – we could absolutely very easily start with a knock at the door and Sherlock saying to John 'Do you want to come out and play?'. They have become the two heroes that we always knew them to be."
Moffat added: ”I suppose it's that Sherlock now finally understands that's he's stronger and smarter than Mycroft in a way. But not because he is actually smarter – he's less smart – but because his emotions, his connections to other human beings, the wisdom he has gained from his connections he has made in the world, make him stronger.
"He sees that, partly because the extreme of [his sister] Eurus who has no connection to anything, is just pure brain, not understanding anything about what it is to be human. [This] makes him realise everything he has worked towards, everything he has tried to get away from himself and deny about himself, is what makes him the strongest.
”He isn't as smart as Eurus, he isn't as smart as Mycroft but he is always going to win against them because he is better and stronger. That is him becoming the Sherlock Holmes of Basil Rathbone and [fellow Holmes actor] Jeremy Brett, the one we're used to, the wise old man... who is still terrifying and still cold but has a heart that you never doubt."
As to whether there will be a fifth series, Moffat added: ”If this was the last time – we're not planning it, but it might be, it's possible – we could end it there. We couldn't have ended it on any of the previous series because they always ended up with whopping great cliffhangers."
He said a fifth series would see Sherlock and John – no surprises here – "solving crimes".
Moffat also revealed to RadioTimes.com that he and Gatiss toyed with the idea of flashing the line ”The Beginning" across the screen at the end of The Final Problem.
But while it accords with the theme of the episode, he said that in the end they decided it would have been ”too cheesy".
Maybe. First finale to not end on a cliffhanger.
Does it end with Sherlock/John deciding to stop investigating murders or something similar?
That's rich considering how cheesy that final shot of them running is.Moffat also revealed to RadioTimes.com that he and Gatiss toyed with the idea of flashing the line The Beginning across the screen at the end of The Final Problem.

I think it was along the lines of all the signs were at the edges of where the glass was so just bolted onto the pillars.

Even that's a major commitment. Probably won't see a new episode until the new decade. The ending didn't make me think this was the end, I think the BBC will do what they usually do with shows like this and bring it back every now and again for Christmas specials.

When the phone is ringing, it clearly shows the call is already connected.
And when it's up against the face, it's on the lock screen which wouldn't occur during a call.
I'm surprised they didn't think of that, because generally this show is really up on the small details.
That was alright.
Episode two was better.
But this fucking show.
It hates Molly Hooper.
I'm assuming Johnlock does not, in fact, become canon. I want to see the tumblr meltdowns.
Of course not it's always been farfetched tumblr shit anyway.
They are melting down. It's so beautiful. Not quite as entertaining as the Great Destiel Disaster of 2013, but fun to watch nonetheless. Will they never learn...
Have to say these people are losers. Why can't characters just be friends? This was never going to happen and rightly so.
Decent parts in this episode but it all felt a bit cobbled together. The basic concept - the sister wanting someone to play with - is very nice but it felt too convoluted. The 999 essie experiments were really good - they put the characters we like in difficult situations. But they bottled it. Then they added ANOTHER layer of trickery onto it at the house. It didn't follow at all.
The sheer concept of Euros planning it in five minutes is so palpably absurd. If they hadn't mentioned it, there would be easy to rationalise but they explicitly reference it.
Plus this episode felt very. There was the very flat and weak looking destruction of 221b - quickly forgotten and later fixed in less than a minute. The shot of John looking out from the island was very odd. The ending scene, corny. Plus ANOTHER Mary video. John's disappearing chains. It had none of the pizzazz of the previous episode.
Also it feels like a series ago that they scared Mycroft in his house but it was the start of the fucking episode. Crazy. Another bad part. [/spoier]

yeah dude it is airing right now in the USA. I know us brits got to watch it a smidge early but show some decorum and respoiler my post. Just quoting it without any comment with the sole purpose of getting rid of the spoilers seems weird.
Spoiler rules for the thread: Anything that has aired is fair game to discuss without spoiler tags. That means as soon as the first episode airs in the UK, you can discuss whatever you like, and it's on us Yanks to avoid until our airing.
East coast people don't spoiler tag for people from the West coast. Once it's aired it's fair game, standard procedure.yeah dude it is airing right now in the USA. Holy shit people, stop calling it a series finale. A fifth season was confirmed to happen years ago.
