How do you know? It should be way easier to port a PS4 game than a PS3 game because of the used architecture.
I just went back about 4 pages and only once is PC mentioned initially when someone muses over VR support and then only after detractors chimed in, including myself. I see no flood of port begging mukking up this thread.
But in the here and now I'm certainly picking this up on both platforms, import if not localized, and also hope as another has pointed out previously that existing bikini DLC crosses over. I've bought so much...
If the DLC works on both systems I'll probably go for an import of the all in one collectors edition.

Yeah thinking about that too, Saikyo package is looking really tempting.
Will give it a thought after we see all the goods and whether DLC from Vita limited edition works in PS4 and vice-versa.

AFAIK most of DOA5's DLCs are cross buy, so hopefully it'll be the same here as well.

Hopefully so, would be kinda weird I guess to offer package with both games if they weren't compatible somehow.

That's a funny marketing trick with it should be easier but if you have a pipeline for a older method and you have to change to it it's a learning curve. That is too much of an investment for them probably. You have to know what the developers are.
I'm sure Marie will have the requisite number of selectable swimsuits and there will be plenty of variety.
Is it just me, or does her butt actually look bigger here?

Looking fantastic! Hope there are more minigames, and volleyball feels more like the original than the sequel. I wish we could just walk around the island with the character instead of menu interfaces this iteration too!

Okay, looked at the scans now that I'm home, and Kasumi looks lovely in it. Pretty sure that what Ayane is wearing one of Mila's DOA5 bikinis too.
Most of the audience that was on 360 before (not only for DOA, but japanese-oriented games) left for the PS4. I remember Hayashi/Tecmo also saying that they weren't really making DLC sales on Xbox One (still more than on PC), and with how it's doing in Japan, they won't bother spending money and time (programming, QA...) on X1 ports in the future, unless it has a proven appeal.
For PC, it's different since they don't really care about the quality of a port, and spend less time optimizing it.
If you plan on importing, I'd recommend other websites. P-A's prices for collector editions are now way too expensive.

They've been way too expensive for years. AmiAmi are my favourites most of the time, since they mark down a lot of their pre-orders a bit.

Oh yeah I agree about the "years" part. They can still be worth it for some rare stock or some specials deals.
Don't like AmiAmi for having really low stocks, they're great apart from that. Usually buying from CDJapan myself, but there's some other good solutions (amazon jp with or without proxy service for example).

Sorry but I don't see the point in taking away features that were a major aspect of the previous game. Hell, 90% of the stupid achievements in DoAX2 involved gifting EVERY bikini to EVERY woman.
Take away the gifting and all you're left with is a bunch of mini-games and gravure scenes. I guess there's always just buying stuff for yourself, but that eliminates the camaraderie. It's probably moot anyway, seeing as how Tecmo will put out enough DLC to blot out the sun. I won't have to worry about looking for casino exploits, because everything will just cost real money.

It sounds somewhat different than the previous in that it is 1 on 1 with a girl you choose.
Keep gifting, just don't make it possible to gift Marie Rose those super skimpy outfits. There are things that girls should just absolutely refuse to wear, then. They're bad enough on the regular girls. I do NOT want to see that crap creeping into other threads when DoA6 is announced.

If there's a digital option, I'd probably just go for that and hope a western version comes along for physical release. Would get to play faster and not have to worry about delivery.

DOA5 was released on PC so I certainly dont think its out of the question this comes over. That said DOA5 was also a terrible port and they openly threatened PC user's so sales were not good for the port. So who knows.
If they actually cared and made a decent port of DOAX3 it would likely do well

How fast are they about shipping out the games? It's nice they offer FedEx, but I would not want to be waiting like 2 days after release date for them to actually ship it.
I used to use hmv.co.jp in the past (with EMS) and they would always do this.

As said in the other post, I usually go with CDJapan. They have Fedex too.
Some other websites (with mixed reviews, even if I had good experiences), like Nin-nin or Nippon-Yassan also have fedex, and are usually good if you miss stock on better websites (like AmiAmi, Play-Asia or CDJapan).
