Wiki said:
The Euro 2016 is the international men's football championship of Europe organized by UEFA. Spain are two-time defending champions.

For the first time, the European Championship final tournament will be contested by 24 teams, having been expanded from the 16-team format used since 1996.

France was chosen as the host nation on 28 May 2010, after a bidding process in which they beat Italy and Turkey for the right to host the 2016 finals. The matches will be played in ten stadia in ten cities: Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris, Saint-Denis, Saint-Étienne, and Toulouse.

I believe this is England's best shot at any international event since Japan and Korea.

With Kane and Vardy banging them in each week we've truly got an ability to score goals. I don't know we've had strikers like that since the Shearer and Owen days...

Shame about our defence but hopefully 'woy can build a strong enough tactical discipline to sort them out.

Nicely done OP.

I'm not really supporting any particular team. I honestly just want to see good matches, and maybe for England, Spain and Italy to stop being shit.

As an American, I don't really have a team in this fight. My family background is Irish, Italian and German, but I kind of just want want to see France (thanks for helping us in the Revolution!) win and England lose to Germany in penalties.

Can't wait to go to some of the matches out there. An American with no real affiliations to any country but just hoping for some good football.

Nice informative OP!

which is the true Group of Death? B or E?

we all know that Germany is getting off easy in Group C

There is no true Group of Death because there are 24 teams so there are some teams that shoudln't be there. I would say Group D is the best one quality wise.

D, if anything. And I think A is probably the weakest pool.

We can do this, Ireland. We can qualify out of the group. Probably. I mean UEFA made getting into the playoffs easier than ever this year. As long as we don't finish last we have a chance!

E probably.

Italy is that one team that draws and wins games by one goal until getting the cup off everyone's hands, Belgium has a great team since the 80/90s, Sweden has Ibra and some players who will want to show their quality in a big stage and then there's R. Ireland who are the outsiders and could easily be a surprise in the competition.

England actually has a surprisingly decent draw. Semis is pretty decent prospect.

England to do spectacularly shit and everyone blames Rooney, even though Hart will drop a few clangers, Alli will get sent off and a John Stones backpass will be a worldie assist for the opposition striker.

Same bollocks, different players.

At the very least it should be exciting this year with Kane and Vardy up front. Pity about the defence.

If Rooney does what he did for that winner on Saturday we'll be in good stead.

Come on you boys in green!

Hoping for a Leicester City style miracle from Ireland

Might as well not bothering to unpack. :p

I have seen Irish decorations and themed items going cheaper than other countries ones. I have seen footballs with Ireland written on them for €3 and Spain/France/Portugal for €5.

Trying to get rid of the stock before we come home early.

Being an English person that supports England, I'll blindly believe that we are obviously better than everyone else and in previous tournaments have simply gone out to bad luck/bad refereeing/bad managers/bad injuries and absolutely nothing to do with being bad at football.

This year we'll definitely win because we are clearly the best.

Clive Tildesley off of ITV told me so and he's a completely unbiased and impartial commentator of the highest repute when it comes to all things England.

No more years of hurt.
