I liked the EC way better than the theatrical. The dialogues added contributed a tonne of characterization and development severely lacking in the previous cut, to the extent I cannot understand why these scenes weren't in it in the first hand.
The movie's problems still are there though - the beginning feeling like a trailer, and a bad choice with the antagonist (you don't put a world destroying villain against a rag tag team of degenerates, you give them a smaller scale villain at first imo) - the 13 minutes do not erase those bits, but this one feels more like a complete "David Ayer Movie" thanks to the breathing room scenes.
